I don’t think she was trying to be woke at all! If anything, it’s a testament at how lost and insecure she was when she wrote those lyrics that she doesn’t agree with them anymore. She really was in such a dark place and writing so freely.

After enduring tracks 12 and 13 I really feel cleansed and at peace listening to Heroin, Change, and Get Free in a row. Her best track placement, I am blown away every time and I feel incomplete if I listen in any other order.

If she wasn’t forced to include, I’m sure it never would’ve been released tho! Imagine not having that song! I agree it doesn’t fit but that’s why it’s a deluxe track I just think of it as a bonus happy party track after how messy and emotional UV is.
