  1. I'm not exactly sure why, but lately I've got the impression that Lana is very confident, inspired, "at peace" and that she feels free to do what she really wants with her music and her career. What I like most about this song/video is that it really adds to that impression.
  2. I bought the "guns" t-shirt, and if this hasn't been cleared already, it's a list of the tour dates on the back, not songs.
  3. This was really beautiful, I think you should write this in the "Dear Lana"-fanbook. I'm sure she would be very happy to read this
  4. Yeah, I wish people would stop bashing the same songs over and over and over again. What good can possibly come from that? Of course it's ok to share negative opinions as well as positive, but I think it has reached and passed the point where it's just unnecessary and disrespectful to those who truly like these songs. It's also bound to lead to offtopic arguments, as in this thread.
  5. Thanks HDB for this thread, this topic is the main reason why I joined this forum in the first place. I could write about this forever, but I'll start with these two and return with more when school isn't such a pain in the ***. Kill Kill Yayo (particularly the a.k.a version)
  6. When I thought the most intense obsession had passed, this happened
  7. 99. Strangers are always kind, with no exceptions whatsoever.
  8. 97. The world was built for two.
  9. Well, it's as usual then. Before a good song can be played on the radio, it first needs to go through a process where its emotion and uniqueness is reduced as much as possible.
  10. Even though I love Dark Paradise, there's no way I can deny the absolute relevance of this question:
  11. Sure, the chorus in Dark Paradise is a bit boring, but everything else about it is flawless so shut up haters
  12. I guess this one is my favorite at the moment, because (yes, I'm quoting Hundred Dollar Bill here) it makes me feel feelings. Edit I'm too dumb to make it bigger. If you have a telescope nearby, this would be the time to go get it.
  13. What a great thread, can't believe I'd missed it. The problem is that it's dangerous for me to start thinking about these sort of things because I tend to get so obsessed.. Had to stop myself after 4.5 h of straight listening to favorite musical moments, as my life beside Lana Del Rey suddenly called for attention. Anyway, here are my (at the moment, at least) top 20 Lana Del Rey musical moments: I hope that at least someone has the energy to read and consider this list, since it took FAR to long to finish it
  14. When I first read about her: When I heard her music for the first time:
  15. For me, it's Lanas number one song. A true masterpiece..
  16. Well, Elvis is great... On his own. Here he's just bloody annoying But thanks for the info!
  17. Is there a version of Methamphetamines without Elvis in it? If there is, does anyone know where I can find it?
  18. Guess you disagree then? Well I'm always in the mood for a good old disagreement, so feel free to elaborate if you've got the energy Let me just point out that I don't mind the ending instrumentation (no idea if that's the correct term) at all, I just think that: 1. it ends too abruptly and 2. it seems like a "shortcut" out of the song, like they lost interest in it and just wanted to finish it off as soon as possible
  19. My Best Days! The first 1:45 are pure magic, then the song just dies... Wish she would have added a bridge and worked a little more on the ending.
