Alpines is a duo from London. Bob Matthews is on production and Catherine Pockson is on vocals. They're pretty good. I don't know if they're making pop or alternative (they're calling it "Night-Pop" but you should give them a chance!
Their debut album "Oasis" is good. Also they released their second album called "Another River" yesterday.
