    Lily Allen

    I'm so happy for her!
  2. Pretty sure it's both, but without him it'd just be a below-average Lana song, with him it's pretty much unlistenable.
  3. The original Hyrule Warriors was a lot of fun, I enjoyed it much more than I expected, and I actually think this is a great way of letting us experience the Great Calamity. I'm excited!

Full version of Club Future Nostalgia coming this Friday!
  5. Ohh then play Explorers first!! Obviously the graphics aren't that impressive since it's a 2007 DS game, but the story is easily the best there's ever been in any Pokémon game, the music is amazing, and it's just a lot of fun. Super Mystery Dungeon is also the most recent of them all (since Rescue Team DX is a remake) and references the previous titles every now and then, so it might be good to play Rescue Team DX and one of the Explorers games first. Explorers of Time and Darkness are basically the same game, and Sky is sort of a director's cut with a handful of extra chapters and dungeons as well as five "bonus episodes" where you play as some characters from the main story and learn more about their individual background and stuff. Obviously Sky is the definitive version, but Darkness alone is very much worth it too. I also think the Explorers games are the most balanced games difficulty-wise. Like, they're somewhat challenging, but for the most part still fair. Rescue Team is a bit easier, and Super Mystery Dungeon had a rather weird difficulty curve LMAO.
  6. Rescue Team DX is much better than Super Mystery Dungeon ddd.
  7. Wait that's actually a great idea, let me do that too!

After taking some more time to listen to this over the last week, I have to say that I went from liking to loving Club Future Nostalgia. I'm still not the biggest fan of the first couple remixes (or well, mostly just the Pretty Please ones) , but everything from the Horse Meat Disco Remix of Love Again onwards is brilliant. I'm so glad they made it a continuous mix, it makes it much more fun to listen to than a regular remix album with separate remixes. Now if only clubs would finally reopen and do Club Future Nostalgia nights...
  9. Imagine... Ocarina of Time + Majora's Mask + Wind Waker + Twilight Princess + Skyward Sword HD Collection! Okay they'd be stupid to not sell those separately. But they could definitely just port TP and WW from the Wii U, and SS would be an easy remaster too. The only question is whether they would turn the gorgeous 3DS remakes into proper HD remakes or just go the rather lazy Super Mario 64 route.
  10. SUPER MARIO 64 AND SUNSHINE AND GALAXY BUT MAKE IT HD!
  11. Those of you who have a vinyl Instagram, drop your @! <3 Here's mine:
  12. Have any of you guys read the Pokémon Adventures manga series? I've heard so many great things about it, especially that it's much closer to Satoshi Tajiri's original vision of Pokémon than the games or the an*me, and that the story is actually great lol. They recently started to re-release the entire series as cute collector's editions, so I decided to give it a shot and order the first volume.

Less Pop 2/Charli/How I'm Feeling Now for the next album and more Number 1 Angel/2018 singles kinda stuff, thank you.

Get in loser, we're going bopping!
  18. I don't know, like yeah, some of the transitions are a bit messy, but I think overall it works pretty well. Heart To Break -> All The Time -> Hillside Boys is probably the most powerful sequence in pop music history... right after the first three tracks on Confessions On A Dance Floor.

The beautiful thing about the Future Nostalgia era is that there's something for everyone. Like, the album itself is obviously pop perfection, I'm sure most people will love the deluxe edition too, and the remix album... Well, some enjoy it, some don't. But even though I personally don't like all of the remixes, I still very much appreciate the fact that Dua had the courage to release a proper remix album, and not just something like the Say So "remix" that's basically just the original song with a guest verse. I think this was an important move for Dua, not only to pay homage to the artists and the era of music that influenced her (both as a creator and consumer of music), but also as a way of starting to build her legacy in the industry.

Okay, so... Future Nostalgia remix: ...she's cute, I don't dislike her. Cool remix: No. Good In Bed remix: Doesn't really add anything interesting, issa skip. Pretty Please remix #1: No. Pretty Please remix #2: NO! Boys Will Be Boys remix: She deserved better. Love Again remix: Love it. Break My Heart remix #1: I don't dislike it. It's... funky! Levitating remix: WBK. Hallucinate remix #1: I mean, it's more of a Hollaback Girl remix than a Hallucinate one. I don't hate it, but what's the point? Hallucinate remix #2: Not bad, but not exactly outstanding either. Love Is Religion remix: I actually quite like this one, although I'm still looking forward to the original version being released on the deluxe edition. Don't Start Now remix: That one's actually quite fun, I'll use it. Physical remix: Love it. The obvious highlight of the album. Kiss And Make Up remix: No. This one doesn't work. That Kind Of Woman remix: I like it. Stuart Price knew what he was doing. Break My Heart remix #2: Not bad. Probably the most "club" remix of them all, I do think it would work great in that setting.
