She looks beautiful. Glad her hair is lighter now. I find  black hair on her makes her look tired and pale.  She's more youthful looking with this color.

How does it look like she's trying too hard? There were a handful of parts where she looked really awkward in her movements, which is very Lana. I don't really get the other thing you said either. Lesser artists? I'm just confused. I mean it definitely comes off as commercial (of course it will guys, it's basically a car advertisement) but it's still a lot of Lana.

I think she looks so freakin HOT (even with the slightly awkward grinding and hip shaking, it's so Lana!) 
    

I actually like the idea of the the clips being played throughout the video-- kind of reminiscent of the charm in her homemade music videos merged with the sulty & classiness of the Lana Del Rey we know today.<3

VERY UNEXPECTED MUSIC VID! when it came up on my TL, I thought it was just the video of when she performed the song live a few months ago.
PLEASANT surprise, to say the least. Right in time for Valentine's Day. (wonder if that was intentional..if soo great marketing strategy imo)  


 

Maybe less famous- maybe she'd just be another star with a small fanbase. Maybe she'd still be big but there would be less controversy surrounding her. Then again, a lot of fans found out about her through the controversy and all the media time. What if video games wasn't as big? What if the media attention on Born to Die wasn't as big as it was? What if she never went to Boarding school? Like I said, you never can know for sure. But there's educated guesses. Who knows how things would of turned out. But I'm sure differently.

I've frankly had it with you guys trying to act like Rihanna is the scum of the Earth and the lowest form of musicality when people like Katy Perry and LMFAO exist. The girl has been consecutively dominating the charts since day damn one, for going on eight years now. I don't see any other artist in the Hot 100 who gets a number one single every single year for weeks at a time. I don't see any other pop girl in Hot 100 with the adaptability and staying power that Rihanna has proven to have.
