I was also thinking that a lot of Lana’s “first singles” don’t tend to be the “lead single” in a way or the most memorable track. LFL love vs lust for life. NFR mariners apt complex vs VB COTCC let me love you like a woman vs COTCC or even white dress (I know the latter was not a lead or first singles) Ocean Blvd DYKTIATUOB vs A&W i guess my point is Henry may be slow and “boring” but it doesn’t dictate the next single and/or the entire album.

How many people here think that she will post something about an album coming thats named something completely different?

THIS RIGHT HERE. I was going to ask - where are these singles she said before year's end? Mariners came out nearly a YEAR before the album if I recall. And she released DYKTITUOB in December (granted the album was out in March, but still). Has there been any insider leaks? Maybe she is keeping this album close to her to avoid any.

Has there been no insider info? also, is this Calvin Harris song rumor true (I’m not here a ton so apologies in advance as I may have missed it being discussed)

Good point. HIAB is a great example. i don’t love the title of the album…and I definitely hope she has better cover art. she did this with the BB singles and with the NFR singles too. Remember Mariners and VB cover art? Totally different than the album cover…so I guess it’s to say there is so much that will come. I don’t think this is all final (except maybe the album title).

Yes I agree with that. I liked A&W, but I appreciated more the attention it put on her (making ‘Best of’ lists, Grammy nominations, etc). Hoping I’m not wrong because I really don’t want another BB. For me, personally, it’s just my least favorite album. I barely ever listen to it. She also mentioned this album was less self-revealing, so while I understand the aesthetic gives off BB 2.0, I think the reaction is a lot of PTSD from people who didn’t like BB. I guess I understand with the Henry snippet. But it’s really hard to tell the entirety of a song with just 30s.

Maybe in the context of the rest of the album but I would say no. I’m also referring to not just a song that would be on the radio but a “bigger” song that gets recognition and streams (e.g. A&W). my point is more that I think she ‘lil release a few singles and maybe wait for that bigger song until April before the album. Also I hear a lot of people saying this will be BB 2.0 but it’s just based on the photo and I guess the title. But Honeymoon and Lust for Life didn’t scream bangers to me and we go some amazing bops on those albums. Everything we heard and she has said points to more melodic songs too (Mirror/Fenway intro).

Where can you purchase tickets if you’re in the States?

I was thinking…even though Henry and few other songs are being released…I’m wondering if she waits to release the “bigger” dare I say more mainstream song right before the release. All of her albums (except for BB) have had one or two radio-friendly songs.

Tough is hanging tough. It just entered top 50 on US iTunes Store. Katys dropped a lot.

I don’t think Tough is a Lasso/new album song. Maybe they’ll throw it on like Doin’ Time if it’s popular. It definitely feels like it’s for some upcoming project she has (the flag in the video, opening with The Mirror, etc). I almost feel like she’s moving back to BTD vibes then country….

Anyone else think American Queen would be the title of her new album, and not Lasso?
