  1. WTH is going on?? Lana seems to be on fire - using the pandemic to let her creativity run. (But i'm not too keen on Country music tbh...)
  2. I've found the RS article as a pdf file, if anyone's interested: https://dbree.org/v/05ce6e
  3. Considering how much he hated Lana's music early on (UV 2/10?? Gimme a break!) 7/10 is a pretty good score from Fantano. And he didn't mention any of the controversies surrounding Lana's social media postings of the past months, kudos for that.
  4. Wow, this sounds sooo goooood!
  5. Yeah, as soon as we're in pre-release land there's something to look forward to.
  6. That interview / article was great! I'm pretty hyped for the album now. The Portishead reference sounds very interesting!

    La Femme

Cool band – "Sur la planche" is my favorite (even played it sometimes in clubs, back in the days when I was still DJing :) .
  8. The video is awesome and really surprising. And I LOVE the song! (Though I like it better to just listen to it whithout the interruptions forced by the video.)
  9. Wow, this looks very very interesting and dark and extremely cool!
  10. I use Spotify only for first spins of new releases so my real music year statics happen over at last.fm. According to that I've listened to 15325 songs (up until now), 3287 different artists in 2020. For the first time since 2011 Lana isn't my no. 1 artist regarding the total number of plays because I discovered a new band: 1. BABYMETAL (865 plays) 2. Lana (514) 3. Poppy (90) 4. Videoclub (77) 5. Jim Bob (57) The songs I listened to most were accordingly pretty (very) (extremely) one-sided: 1. BABYMETAL – Gimme chocolate!! (82 plays) 2. BM – Headbanger (live) (72) 3. BM – Ijime, Dame, Zettai (live) (55) 4. BM – Catch Me If You Can (live) (52) 5. BM – Karate (48)
  11. The only cool thing about the nominations is Poppy. :-) For the rest, I don't care and I don't expect anything from the Grammy's anymore after the last disaster.
  12. Wow, Lana's vocals are really stunning here, I'm positively surprised (didn't expect too much beforehand tbh).
  13. At least one positive thing happening in 2020 - Trump, this ugly racist a**hole and compulsive liar is finally getting dumped.
  14. I like the song, it's quite beautiful, but I'm not overwhelmed. Maybe it's a grower and works better in the context of the album.
  15. My ticket for her (cancelled) Berlin show this march was around 80 € (normal ticket, no special treatment, no seat). It's pricey but so are a lot of the bigger artists, especially when they're playing in arenas.
  16. "and raising my dogs and my cats and my chickens " - is she joking here or was this already a known fact to us?
  17. This is awesome! I've got just one wish/suggestion for improvement – right now the title of a thread is barely readable because it's black text on a pretty dark/colored background. Maybe you could make the background of every thread title white or white with 50 % transparency or something like that?
  18. The Guardian has a campaign against Lana going on for like forever, so that's no surprise. But I'm still shocked NFR was their AOTY after their review was more on the meh! side.
  19. Here's another positive review for audio book/album: https://thenewspocket.com/lana-del-reys-violet-bent-backwards-over-the-grass-the-talking-points
  20. As posted a page earlier, the first review is very positive: https://www.thelineofbestfit.com/reviews/albums/lana-del-rey-violet-bent-backwards-over-the-grass-review
  21. Okay, after reading this I'm REALLY excited now! Tomorrow can't come early enough. (I wasn't too sure of the entire project when we first heard of it several months ago but wow, it seems to be something really special.)
