im super glad love is doing so well and shes def getting that online promo, but sometimes i think people on here care more about her position on the charts and how much shes making off streaming than like, actually sitting down and enjoying how good lanas music is. youtube views are good and will benefit her but its not like she needs to be popular for us to like her

I sneaked Love onto my ice hockey team's warm up playlist on spotify and it's not as 'upbeat' as most of the music we have on there but already three of my teammates have bought the song after hearing it a few times!
I really hope this album kind of 'redeems' her in the public eye, she really does deserve to be recognised for her talent, and she seems so happy with this music I want to see it do as well as possible so she can keep smiling

I doubt the sound of the album will be psychedelic any more – she said in the BBC interview (http://consequenceofsound.net/2017/02/lana-del-rey-is-encouraging-fans-to-cast-a-witch-spell-on-donald-trump/):
"She also spoke about the work she’s been doing on her upcoming solo album — a 15-month-long process — and how the LP originally started out as having “like, a ’50s, ’60s feeling, with some kind of Shangri-La, early Joan Baez influences” … until the political mess with Trump began to shake things up.
“As the climate kept on getting more heated politically, I found, like, lyrically everything was just directed towards that, so because of that, the sound just got really updated, and I felt like it was more wanting to, like, talk to the younger side of the audience I have,” she said. “I guess it’s just a little more socially aware. That’s kind of a global feeling.”"
So she started from a 50's/60's sound and now it will be "updated" – so I guess it will be more Pop etc. But I'd love her doing at least 1 or 2 songs in a psychedelic style (she already did on UV).

Well I hope she doesn't give a fuck because what we think doesn't really matter in the end. If she's into this, who cares, she makes amazing music and that's really the only thing we even need to worry about
I'm honestly really tired of the people who are freaking out about her tweet. I'm here for the music and Lana as a person is just a plus. And if she's a witch, cool. If not, cool.

people need to educate themselves on what "satanism" actually is. it has nothing to do with worshipping satan. (also, p.s., satan isn't real.)
i don't think lana is even a satanist, though. i think she's deeply fascinated by the esoteric and mysticism and the so-called "dark" side of life.

I think that it's really funny when ppl don't like that Lana MAY be a satanist/witch/whatever you guys are calling her, but are ok with her being catholic. I mean, it's ok for them to be part of a religion that was responsible for the death of a lot of women, gays, lesbians, etc... But it's wrong to use magic to bind Trump.

I can't with people actually thinking witchcraft = satanism.... like grow up, witchcraft is a CRAFT not a specific religion, it's used in many religions across the world, but it does not automatically mean Lana is sacrificing goats to satan and performing black magic rituals.... most likely she just finds witchcraft interesting, likes the aesthetic etc, maybe she lights some candles and has a few crystals or something, like please let's not overreact and frame all witchcraft as 'evil' this isn't the 16th century, educate yourselves before throwing accusations around

okay i don't know if this is just me projecting, or wishful thinking or whatever lmao, but lana saying things about her lyrics being more ""politically inclined" my mind immediately goes to vietnam era protest songs . im not saying LDR5 is going to be a ccr cover album (lmao imagine how bad that would chart), but i really do hope that is the direction she went with lyrically for at least one or two songs . she probably has a really refined taste in protest/political songs from the 60s and 70s so im not really expecting anything folky but i hope the album is psychedelic, even if it's just hints and elements of it . i think she would make beautiful songs in that vain, plus i think a lot of people are anticipating a 60s sound anyways??? maybe it's just me but regardless i'm excited to hear what she's written lol

So it's confirmed or just rumored the album will drop in October? Can't believe this, why would they delay the record that much when the first single's already out. I can't wait such a long time for the new album!

So no (famous) person should say anything against Trump because he/she risks getting shot otherwise? That's like living in a dictatorship.

Ok so now I can say it, the thing I'm excited about is that there's Love posters up all in Paris and there's a contest from UMG to win CDs, posters and other promo stuff. I'm too ugly to win but I got my Lasagna Del Rey tshirt under my Lana sweater and I'm about to leave to do at least five posters yo, so all of this to say maybe there will be other campaigns like this in other big cities! The posters are in very touristic zones too I'm excited c ya l8er alligators
