  1. SitarHero the one that transcribe lyrics faster that it's shadow. Thank you!
  2. That's just hell lots of investigations! *praise* At this point I just don't know whether Lizzy was just a shy girl with crazy fantasies going on in her mind, turning daily boring events into something epic, or a girl with several lives. If all the lanalysis theories are true, she has been living her life at the fullest - wonder how she made through it without too many damages.
  3. She puts controversial items in all her videos, she likes when it's extreme and deranged somehow. In : - Born to Die: the car crash/dead body scene - Blue Jeans: fingers in the mouth scene - National Anthem: the whole thing - Summertime Sadness: suicidal tendency - Ride: street walking, young girl/old men, headdress.. These are things that make her feel "electric", that make the video striking to the viewers, that leave a mark on us. Her videos are little parts of her, sometimes her message/images/lyrics are too personal for the outsiders to get it completely and cause controversy. She doesn't seem to care, she says what she wants to say, the way she feels it. That's what artists do, they're not always politically correct even though they should be careful. That actually brings to philosophical questions: should artists be able to express themselves freely without boundaries? Where/what is the limit to art? Should art be censored because of its subject?...
  4. Carmen, Carmen staying up till morning... only seventeen but she walks the streets so mean. It's alarming honestly how charming she can be, relying on the kindness of strangers, fooling everyone, telling them she's having fun. Street walk at night and a star by day, she laughs like god, her mind's like a diamond, like lightning, ohh, like lightning. And that's the little story of the girl you know. That video is like the visual version of Carmen. Gogo Dancer, Mermaid Motel, Trash, Carmen.. Lana is kinda obsessed with this theme. I'm glad she did something for it. She's finally able to share her vision, the way she has always imagined (or lived), for other people to see.
  5. I read so many comments saying how "beautiful, amazing, magnifique" this video is, I have some high expectation now, I don't wanna be disappointed! As for the monologue, NA's added a little extra to the tragic ending of the Kennedy's/her relationship/intense relationship in general. This one sounds like confessions, It's way more personal and I centered (like everything she does) in a good way.
  6. Lucky fans, i'm happy for the one who got the chance to participate to this
  7. I like her cheesy monologue, since she always gives journalists the same answers, that she doesn't tweet much anymore, it's good to see that she can also speak and not just sing. That letter is very personal, it reveals more about her than all her interviews combined. It's cheesy and touching :3
  8. Sitar GO SEE HER! you shall see her, it's your duty as a hardcore fan. Plus she's gonna be there the whole evening, you'll probably be able to talk to her.
  9. Yes she did, last years in December, she was invited as a guest performer for the opening of the Dior Boutique in Beijing, China. It was a private show though.
  10. Iggy is gonna flip her hair and you'll all end up in.. in.. I don't know where yet but somewhere really stinky and unpleasant! PS: she an accent?
  11. She's tall, slender, blond... AND has filthy filthy lyrics, I love her. I have both Ignorant Art and Glory, can't wait to listen to Trapgold.
  12. I remember her saying that too, but naive as I am I thought she was talking about less dramatic/more John&Jane's life problems such as having to pay for the bills, finding a job, finding a purpose in life... Something more "poetic". LOL
  13. Maybe Die refers to the emotional state she was in when she left him. Or Die in the sense that the alcohol-maybe-drug-filled Lizzy he used to know no longer existed when she decided to "live her life right" to be "a good person".
  14. It's from the french show La Musicale (same channel as Le Grand Journal where she did all her live except of Taratata), it aired back in november 2011. That edition of La Musicale was 100% GIRLS. She sang along Camille, Brigitte, Izia, Anna Calvi, Selah Sue, Florence + the Machine and Beth Hart. It was such a great show. * Side note: you can see her smile in the video, I suppose that was the moment when Paz de la Huerta showed Lana her boobs. (For you who ever wondered where and when Paz did that)
  15. This is pure Lana art. Without those high notes slaying your inner ears, it won't be Lana anymore. Can't feel complete without them. And I'm being serious.
  16. I didn't even know there was a solo version!! Does anyone has a link to it?
  17. I think it's because she wants her show to be string oriented with dramatic feelings to it - hence the piano and the quartet, the guitar adds some jazzy, blues notes. Diet Mtn Dew and OTTR definitely lean toward hip hop style. She's not going to have a drummer in her crew and make him play 2 songs. It's more about being practical and logical I guess.
  18. She's really stuck up sometime, I mean she's with Bobby Womack, Damon Albarn surrounded by a friendly, nor crazy nor scary crowd, ass kissing interviewers and she can't have a little fun in the interview?! Grah Lana... Anyway, Bobby did another live later.. that man radiate music.
  19. Her two first song at the itunes show were really neat, I was like "where the hell is Lana, are you an evil-perfect-pitched-twin??" then she sang Born to Die, I cringed, she was back.
  20. She really did improved in live shows, I have faith again!
  21. SitarHero, you're title should be "Official lyrics provider". You just saved me from hours of frustration, for this I thank you. Her little rap/fast talking part is the best part and the upbeat tempo just makes my hips go sway.
  22. It lasted only 40 min, she could have add some spice by singing a new song: Ride, Burning Desire or just Diet Mtn Dew or Off to the Races. I don't know if it's because I only slept 4 hours last night, but Lana really did good this time. Her voice was so emotional, my heart skipped a few beats. Her technique has improved, she took her time, did't rush the songs. And the live version are so beautiful, feels like listening to them for the first time. I'm overly happy she did good, she should sing in sweater and jeans more often. Love Lana.
  23. As much as I love Lana, I don't think I'll buy it physically. I just know it'll end up on a shelf collecting durst. And it will be very expensive in France, the Paradise Edition is somewhere around $12 in the US Itunes store, it's $20 here. So I guess this collection will cost around 50 USD or more. I'm a student!!
  24. I finally figured out what Ride reminds me of!! You know this song during major sport events, where they show people in slow motion doing incredible things (and incredible faces), pushed on their very limits, sweating and crying because they made it. Change the lyrics a little and there you go, the next Olympic Games song.
