that's usually true, but lana herself has said that her music is "100% autobiographical", which of course feeds our speculation. if she didn't throw clues around (and if she weren't so fascinating and hadn't lived such a full life) we wouldn't feel so compelled to try to piece together stories and people and associate them to her lyrics! bear in mind that some theories have been somewhat confirmed, while others are in the air or maybe just fantasies.

I think you are reading waaay too much into all of this. My friend is a songwriter, and while he writes from experience, he also writes from the experiences of those around him, but makes them personal. If someone who didn't know him read them, they would assume it's all about him... he's inspired by friends, movies (and Lana is so inpired by film noir), news reports, books.. LIFE, just not always his.

First MD and Neal, you guys should change path and be detective instead or work for Most Wanted kind of shows. I did the same seach a while back but was too lazy to search through all pages with different dates. You are amaaazing!
 
Second, everytime I see her myspace pages I think how kitsch looking they are. If I did that it would have been labelled "bad taste", when Lizzy does it, it's just cool. It's unfair lol.

She likes rings - the blingest one, heart shape sunglasses, fur, floral everything, She dresses causually but have expensive taste in accessories.
 
Not being a native english speaker, I emulate what I hear. If you put me in a texan household for 3 months I'll probably end up with an texan accent. Since I listen to a lot of Lana songs, interviews, I tend - unconsciously - to talk like her, I'm not trying to emulate her but I became soft spoken in english (beauty queen style...) I hate it! I used to talk fast and loud (like another of my pet celebrity). I'm also using a certain type of vocabulary now. Ugh she has such an impact on me, I didn't even noticed until now..

Can you do a botox-injection party so I can do it with you? I felt the same when someone posted "...Baby One More Time came out 12 years ago!" and thinking that some members were only toddlers/foetus/not-even-existing-yet.

I love all this because it proves she's had a similar vibe as an artist for YEARS. She wasn't created one year ago in a factory because she made her hair brown like some people think. She's had this schtick for ages.

I did a lot of digging today and finally managed to find a lot of interesting things that we didn't know about the May jailer- Lizzy Grant days from the old Myspace. It would be great if you guys appreciate this, it took forever to put together, haha. Most of this is information taken from pictures, they'll be at the end, and the picture containing whatever information will have the picture number next to it in parentheses except performance dates, there are way too many to put with pictures, ask if you need the pictures for the performance dates and I'll PM them. My friends went to Barcelona this summer, they took photos and made a video. All the people who saw them were like "OMG! You guys had so much fun!" - but it was in fact one of the worst trip they've ever made.
I guess she really appreciate them because they did everything for Lana Del Rey to succeed. They're strangers, they didn't have to do what they did for her, so it's even more valuable. She believes in the kindness of strangers...

I'll get my hair done in a sweet beauty queen style (see the haircut on my avatar), red lipstick and blood red fake nails on. High heels on one hand, a strapless shinny Louis Vuitton clutch on the other. And some flour on the corner of the nose.

Yup, I love those two, but especially Comic Strip, it’s one of my favorites. That backing track is off the hook, and BB’s onomatopoeia backing vocals are wild.

At this point I just don't know whether Lizzy was just a shy girl with crazy fantasies going on in her mind, turning daily boring events into something epic, or a girl with several lives. If all the lanalysis theories are true, she has been living her life at the fullest - wonder how she made through it without too many damages.

She puts controversial items in all her videos, she likes when it's extreme and deranged somehow.

These are things that make her feel "electric", that make the video striking to the viewers, that leave a mark on us. Her videos are little parts of her, sometimes her message/images/lyrics are too personal for the outsiders to get it completely and cause controversy. She doesn't seem to care, she says what she wants to say, the way she feels it. That's what artists do, they're not always politically correct even though they should be careful.
 
That actually brings to philosophical questions: should artists be able to express themselves freely without boundaries? Where/what is the limit to art? Should art be censored because of its subject?...
