She's one of my favourite artists, and she produces herself too. She's just so amazing. I love her teaming up with HANA all the time too. They're like ultimate duo. Ive known grimes since 2013. I loved her newest Art Angels album, it was so different from anything i've heard before, including her old stuff. A lot more vocals which was cool. But i do have to say I was a bit upset that she had completely scrapped the work she had done for the album that was meant to be instead of AA. She said she deleted it all because she decided she didnt like it and wanted something different, which I totally support her doing what she feels is rights, but Like her song David (that she sang live only once or twice i think) was AMAZING and im so upset ill never hear a studio version. Her vocals and the instrumentals were so perfect Wish we could have heard the rest of the album, even if she just released them in an EP or something I guess we never will though.

I like her a lot. I've been a fan since her first song Dollhouse came out. At first I was a bit wary of her Cry Baby album, cause I thought all the baby, childish references was some weird fettish that disgusted me, and was encouraging sexuality of young children, BUT then I realised it was really just like a younger persona of who she is and how her life has been. And that all the references are really meaningful and chaotic to young adults. I realise its NOT a fettish, and she's not even sexualising it. She doesn't pop out her boobs, she isn't making out with other people in her music videos, etc. Her Mrs. Potato Head video proves that she's actually calling out all that sh_t. She's raw, she's actually an amazing self-director, and she is a really nice person irl too. Some people were calling her rude to her fans because of one incident when fans were yelling obscene things at her on stage while she was trying to explain the song Mrs. Potato Head, and that upset her and she was like "I'm talking!". But when you know how meaningful that song was to her, and that people were yelling out rude things among the many "I LOVE YOUUU!"'s (such as "sit on my face!") then you'll understand she is not mean or rude at all. And really grateful for her fans <3

HOW can i FORGET. I was really hoping Cola would be on Tropico, or at least its own music video. Ugh well, we did get the cool poem monologue for Cola. But there are sooo many songs on radio about drugs and sex. Maybe its just when a female does it its suddenly not okay -_- idekBut they could easily just silence the "p*ssy" in Cola like they do with a lot of swear words on radio clean versions. Oh well

Idk why West Coast didnt get bigger. It was a small hit on Australian Tripple J, and same with High By the Beach, but still. I think Ultraviolence could have been but maybe that was somehow prevented because of the violent references? Music to Watch Boys To should have been too. Its perfect for radio

Ive been thinking about this a lot since Melanie Martinez came up with one, im like why not lana?? I imagine it would smell a little smokey and dangerous, but light and florally as the lingering smell, cause of how much she references summer and flowers. I wouldnt say it would be 'sweet', but more alluring/magnetizing, with a fresh, pretty smell too.

I listened to Summertime Sadness and the music and vocal captured me. But what STRUCK me was Carmen, as it really shows her vocal capabilities more than SS or BTD, from low and mature to quite high and girly.

Like youve all heard her amazing live vocals where shes freestyling, especially on songs like Million Dollar Man, at the end of her recent Video Games live performances, and in her Heart Shaped Box cover. I think shes the only person who could pull off this cover. And this is a strange one, but one of ABBA's songs, like Lay All Your Love on Me, especially in the chorus <3. ABBA has 2 singers which harmonise with each other and Lana is so good at recording harmony Or anything by Cat Power cause I know she loves her

I think she will get a little more upbeat, but not in the same way Born to Die was. I think it may even be a little more like AKA :'), but with better quality studio recording and more mature vocals. Thats just my guess from what shes teased already. From my own little fantasies though, it would so cool if she somehow mixed that AKA style with something a bit spooky like some more amazing strings. Like seriously, imagine Honeymoon hauntingness with AKA cross Ultra <3 <3. just wishes tho......

Anyway, these i think are a bit biased from the actual album art, except for a couple extras AKA- light yellow, gold and white Born to Die- pale blue, white and pale pink Paradise- like a deep sparkly green and bronze-gold Ultraviolence- dark grey-blue, black and lilac Honeymoon- deep red, sky blue, white, and silver I dont think many people associate lilac with UV, but i think i do because when i think of hydrangeas i think of purple ones (even though she sings of blue ones lol)

Ive got Born To Die: Paradise Edition on CD Ultraviolence Vinyl Honeymoon Vinyl I listen to the CD all the time, but only listened to the records a few times on my boyfriends record player cause mine is shit and needs a new needle before it wrecks my records. Funny story with the CD though. I actually just wanted the normal BTD cd, because at the time (back in 2012) i hadnt listened to the Paradise songs much, and liked the BTD album cover better. But when it came in the mail I opened it and was really diassapointed. But then I realised it still had the original BTD songs + the paradise ones and Im SOOOO glad I got the paradise edition by accident as i like it even more than BTD now <3
