  1. Thank you! So doing this
  2. Some people, like Nostalghia do it better than Lana in recent years Same, I've been trying to stop myself tbh
  3. Coachella could have been her best song if it just wasn't produced like that. If it wanted to really sound like a timeless woke song, it should have stayed folk.
  4. as I said above, her best era for looks And please do! I'd love to see

Listening again, I think it sounds a lot like Teacher's Pet, which I like. Teachers Pet and Show & Tell seem to be the only ones that have a sound flowing straight out of Cry Baby, even if they are a slower pace.
  6. I agree, Lana has always liked some glamorous things, but her regular default style seems to be very casual with just some expensive, but simple, accessories. I remember in an old interview she was asked what she spends her money and and she said she didn't like to spend her money, except sometimes on something nice like a necklace or ring. The full glamour from the BTD era must have felt nice for her, but yes it was definitely steered by how stylists/photographers/magazines, etc, wanted her to look because it's startling and eye-catching... Gets them money too... And it did happen to match the music. Honestly my favourite Lana style is her casual street style when it's just so well fitted and looks comfortable but also like no one else could ever look as good in it. Those people need to get warning points imo, because some have so blatantly been shaming her. Also, idc how unpopular this opinion is but in the Honeymoon era and Endless Summer tour she was maybe even at her thickest and no one can tell me she didn't look the best she ever had. So fucking gorgeous. Ughhhh help.
  7. Okay but which one actually is it I still don't know
  8. That's so sad but that's actually what I see happening too. Maybe I'll add an extra year and say 5
  9. I WISH that was how I found her bc Oh No! Is my favourite of her videos. But no, I found her from Tumblr in 2013 of course. I think it was HTBAH, but I really got into her after hearing Fear & Loathing and Lies. It went perfectly with Lanas BTD sad girl era, having just discovered her 6 months prior I believe.
  10. Yesterday I spent hours downloading clothing and path designs for the first time. I feel like I've been missing out, trying to do all this by myself and failing. I started by searching on Pinterest, things like ACNH 'fairy path' or 'zen path' and I found some really nice ones that are perfect for my island. I even hit my limit for designs on my Nook phone And btw, look what else i found https://www.pinterest.com.au/pin/499055202463932571/ https://www.pinterest.com.au/pin/200621358388752232/ https://www.pinterest.com.au/pin/754423375069334400/
  11. I can't decide whether this is true or if Lana is the one trying to be like Chuck and her friends
  12. I've honestly never looked too hard into the storyline of Honeymoon. It's actually my favourite album, but I've always seen it as an extension of her real life, like what she dreams about and thinks about, rather than a full story and journey, the way that BTD, UV and Paradise are. Lana has called it her 'vanity project' and for that reason I think of it as something she made just for her, just to bring to life some of her fantasy and things that absorbed her at that time of her life. She seemed lonely, and with that loneliness was contemplating things from different times of her life, and even future possibilities. I think she had multiple of her past relationships in mind (the blackest day, TLY, salvatore, HBTB, 24), and could also have been thinking about future relationships, or imagining what could have happened if she stayed with someone from the past (honeymoon, swan song). Religion (as i only recently found out) is in fact about her relationship with music and her career. GKIT is probably part of that story too, as well as DLMBM. MTWBT & Freak must have come from dreamy carefree thoughts. Art Deco is not about her at all, but something she made up in her mind for some other young lady, maybe not even in the present day. So that's why it doesn't seem like a story or journey to me. Just puzzled pieces of where her thoughts took her at the time. Your analysis is right too, of course, but the timeline is probably not meant to be real at all (Burnt Norton). I also think that's why she made an instagram just for Honeymoon, and then forgot about it too

Thank you for sharing. So the best friend she's talking about is the one she mentions in Piggyback? That's really nice, im happy for them both. That's a really nice interview overall, and i'm so glad that she's always so happy working in music and turning it into so much more. Hearing that people have reached out to her and said K-12 helped them get through a lot of things is really nice to know as well. That just backs up what I keep saying, if I had been in school or heard the album at the right time of my life it probably would have helped a lot, but since I've already overcome most of that, it just doesn't do much for me currently. But it is certainly a strong album id reccommend for young people going through school and other themes of k-12
  14. Only this part of the forum but it's gotta be missing a lot of them http://lanaboards.com/index.php?/forum/89-new-interviews/page-1?prune_day=100&sort_by=Z-A&sort_key=last_post&topicfilter=all Maybe some got wrapped up in magazine threads or other appearances.
  15. Genuine question, because I'm really interested in the production of her music. Are the strings in the BTD era authentic or software generated?
  16. Not my initial thought but it IS the only NFR I save to all my current playlists ...

K-12 is a beautiful aesthetic film, best watched on low volume or mute with harp music playing
  18. I wouldn't completely turn away from the thought. Obviously not for a complete album but like the talking she does in MAC. The Ultraviolence bridge. The HBTB ending. Even a short interlude like Burnt Norton. When she brings spoken words into songs I have found it beautiful, magnetic and touching before. I definitely want a piece of that in COCC.
  19. Honestly I'm so sick of myself not liking NFR, this was so refreshing to read and I couldn't agree more, now that you've got me thinking about it. I've never thought that much about the depth to the songs, because the songs simply don't call for me to think harder and feel harder. I think you're right. She wanted this album out there for herself, and it was both a moment in time for her and a big shift.
  20. F the other woman M Shades of Cool K Florida kilos Angels Forever Forever Angels Big Bad Wolf Fuck it I love you
  21. Her hair looks amazing. I actually am digging the shirt, she looks so damn cute. But I can't be the only one who actually thought her cheeks looked painful right? Not 'looks bad' painful but surely the smiling hurts painful. But she actually does seem like herself again, and happy and positive and omg
