I wonder if Lana is gonna do another 2012-2015 and release something every year for a while. It's a shame it won't be the same quality but I'm still grateful. Something is coming only a year after NFR? If it actually does get released this year, what else could we ask for tbh?

I think no matter what this album is gonna be, going in with absolutely no expectations is the only way im gonna enjoy it.

No one knows who tf Lana is so much that we cant even agree on her sun sign. Lana can't either. She'll probably be a Gemini sun next year and say they go her birth time wrong

I honestly dont know what to think about this now. If it were another artist that wasn't one of my faves i HATE to say it but I might be part of the backlash, or at least agreeing with them. Fact is, I know that is not what Lana meant. But she has to learn to be more careful with her words. It's not her fault, but it's time we were all more careful. She probably read thepost through 10 x but didn't look at it from the perspective of a woman of colour of course. It's not her fault. But it is her priviledge, yes.

If i remember correctly ND was portraying Native American slavery and captivity as sexy which is disgusting. Lana, while still a very problematic move, was pretty unknown, and she wasn't putting forward anything as harmful or offensive (*cough* besides cultural appropriation and white priviledge). Still doesn't make it okay tho. And yes it is interesting....

Okay I didn't see the first picture that she posted before the album announcment. I am HERE for what she is saying and I am so happy she is taking back her voice (or finally demanding that she even has one). THIS is what I wanted to see. It makes me happy that she isn't ashamed or dissapointed in her past work and past inspiration for writing- despite others pretending it doesn't exist, just so they can more highly praise her newer music. She's owning her past, and I am so haunted by what she said: "the kind of woman who says no but men hear yes". That almost made we want to cry and scream. This is what I'm going to show someone when they dismiss Lana as a powerful influential singer and a strong woman just because she chooses to sing about her own true experiences which have constantly evolved.

I'm wondering if there is a thread for this already... I wanna discuss Lana being deep and mysterious vs. straight forward and basic. I came across this old interview not long ago, and at 4:55 she starts explaining that she is "kind of as basic as it gets". I remember hearing in another old interview.. she was asked why she never smiles in professional photos and she said the photographers always asked her not to smile, or never asked her too. Can't remember which one. Now it's got me thinking, is Lana only seen as deep and mysterious because that is something people want to see out of her? Has she been put into this mystery box by others, without choosing that for herself? I first thought about her being elusive and deep from her BTD album, but it might all be in Emiles production. After all, the demos are mostly the same vocals, but give a completely different vibe- not mysterious at all, and much more 'regular pop'. Even in the words she chose to speak, she still seemed mysterious and elusive right up until after Honeymoon. Perhaps she was only like that because she wanted to choose her words carefully to avoid criticism. Whatever it is, she might be back to her real self ever since the new album. And when people have thought of her now as 'basic' and boring and 'off', perhaps this really is her. Most of this discussion has come out since NFR, so?? What do you think? Was she ever actually mysterious? Did she ever want to be seen like that? Or was she playing along with what other's said she was, and now she's back to who she was before? Have I been a bad fan for wanting back the old Lana when she never really existed?

I hate this requirement so much. I always find the best picture but I have to resize it to look like sh*t just to upload it. I use Paint on my computer to resize it until it's at or below 100kbs or whatever the maximum is. (I check the image size in its properties when I right click it in my documents wherever ive saved it) Or if you don't know how to do that it might be easier to find a image resizer/compressor tool online or an app. Some you have to keep resizing until you have the right file size, or some let you choose the file size.

tbh I dont think lana has the taste to be interested in our Amy. If she looked into Amys solo work (which is more piano ballard focused) I have no doubt she would LOVE it, but with what music Lana has shown interested in, I doubt Evanescence would be on the list unfortunately. At least Amy love's lana's work though <3

That's how I like to imagine Lana too, but unfortunately the reality is it's always single-use cups while on-the-go with her and probably Starbucks

I only ever think of small snacks or junk food (cherry cola, peaches, cherries, key lime pie, diet mountain dew, soft ice cream) so are there any actual meals we can think of? I guess not, like who sings about a healthy meal

I always think of the line "gimme coffee, king sized cup" and feel like making a coffee in my biggest soup mug at home with lots of sugar. I don't like americana coffees though

I saw a video someone did with Playdate x Harley Quinn (Birds of Prey). The song suits her well but I think a better aesthetic would be the original cartoon, or even the new DC Harley Quinn show. I hope someone does that.

Cherry ended up being really overrated. It was a short moment of bliss on the LFL album but really compared to the rest of her discography it's so cheap.

It sounds so sweet, but tbh there's not much else to hear without the vocals. I really want HSS and Teachers Pet too, then I'll be complete.
