    Yeah D:
I know this is an unpopular opinion but the leaked songs like Schizo, Unhappy Meal and 99 Cent Store are amazing songs and would have kept everyone satisfied as a continuation of crybaby, even tho I think all are outtakes?

Oh, it’s just a buzzfeed quiz, they usually have random food and stuff you need to pick. I don’t think they’re connected to Lana or anything.

Yes! Particularly to bolded text. I spotted that this would be an issue when the snippets were coming out it on her insta, and sadly it wasn't just the phone recording audio
Maybe it's the microphone she sang into idk, I don't know much about the technical side but I'd love to hear what someone educated in sound tech would have to say about this album.

If NFR production had Sirens lyrics? Wow, a concept.

    NFR.

Sirens sounds like the same song in every track.

Lust for Life... to me personally, it's not that the sound was too varied, although that didn't make the album sound all too cohesive, the album just had too many collabs and was tainted with trap beats, and a lot of the lyrics sounded a bit juvenile and shallow..

Now with NFR, while I genuinely believe the album is great, I just don't care for the production and mastering, it sounds really messy, cheap-y, tinny, flat and dry at times. The vocal track doesn't mesh well with the instrumentation on a lot of songs. Vocally there are great moments on the album, but her voice is at times a little inaudible and/or is drowned in the instrumentals. As for the instrumentals, on a lot of track I feel like it lacks bass or percussions to create a deep/varied or balanced sound, that's what makes it flat for me.

I honestly hope Jack will either challenge Lana more on the production of WHF, or that he as other tricks to show, because I honestly think that it will be NFR 2.0.

I get what you're saying - who knows what it'll end up sounding like, maybe it'll be a pretty happy album

I can agree but now it has me confused cause we were all so annoyed by LFL's production being too varied and all over the place, and now that we have a coherent album in production we are like "noo it's not enough!"

Maybe Lana has lost that perfect balance. Idk what it is but if I had to pinpoint it I'd say it's the effort she puts into her vocals that really ties her albums together. That's what makes LFL and NFR seem incomplete to me.

That's what I like about the album name tho. It's doesn't need to be deep. It feels light and airy, like she was just like "oh yeah, I guess that's how I feel!" with nothing more to it. But I do wonder, there has to be a title track called White Hot Forever right? I wonder what that's all about

my problem with the production on NFR is that there is not enough variety, as well as the fact that the piano and strings sound kind of cheap-ish. It's not a bad album by any means, but it's certainly not her magnum opus.

When I hear "White Hot Forever" I'm thinking like a hazy soft slow summer-y album kinda in the vein of Honeymoon. I'm probs way off tho.

which do you think is the more introspective album? if you could listen to only one of the two, which would it be?

Can’t remember completely right now, but I think they shortened most of Lana’s songs (if not all? but they did it in a good way/mixed them well) and I believe Schubert’s songs were full, but I’m not sure because I had never heard them before. I just noticed that they were on for longer so I simply assumed they’re in full.
Edit: Let me just add that this radio show airs on a channel where they play classical music, so that might be a reason why Schubert’s songs were on for longer.

It's a grower. I am sure it will make sense in the context of the album.

Wow this is the kind of stuff I wish was on the radio all the time. I guess that's why I turn to podcasts.

When they played the song was it just snippets or the full song?

    And thank you lovely!!!
