WOWOWOWWW I love the title so much!!!!! the cover is giving Blue Banister the Re-Up but this album already feels super intimate and wholesome so its kinda kitschy in a way may 21 feels like a century away tho but her albums are meant for summer and its right after my birthday so I can't complain I feel so full and hype rn like this is what I live for!!!!!!!!

Thanks!
Idk but if I bootleg a record, I’d just buy a copy from iTunes for the source.
That way people would buy it because it sounds decent…

HMH isn't a remix I actually think its deadass ripped from this pitched video on yt cause there's no official audio for it
the whole album is a lil pitchy on my turntable but ive been having some issues w it recently so im not exactly sure if its me or the vinyl but HMH is definitely pitched

got my NTMT bootleg in the mail today and its pretty decent the cover art is blurry but honestly I dont blame them its difficult to find the HQ images anywhere but everything else is great it came w a small poster and the inside of the outer sleeve is printed as well w images from Downhill Lullaby shoot which is pretty badass and the vinyl sounds pretty good its a lil pitched up and muddy but definitely better than kunaki quality just physically owning the album let alone a vinyl of it is enough to make it worth it for me I never thought i'd live to see the day omg and it has the music video version of I Blame Myself on it tf a lil strange but okay! werk!
edit: OH all the music video songs have those versions on here instead of the OG okayyy werk they must've pressed this from a youtube playlist or something lmao Heavy Metal Heart n1ghtc0r3d to hell

That is so weird to do that when you could just....get a copy of the album in lossless from literally anywhere and use those for the masters.
My copy is also really great as well. The lacking of a HQ art though does make me scratch my head. Someone posted a HQ version of the uncensored cover in here awhile back. It's out there. You just need to take it, run it through something like GigaPixel AI to upscale it significantly, then downscale back. Anyone with good PS knowledge would be able to sharpen and clean it up from there for some immaculate cover work IMHO.
The poster was a nice touch I was like "Oh???? wtf?" didn't expect that.

My heart goes out to all the poser cigs who are anxiously waiting for Pitchfork and Mr. Potato Head to tell them if they should like Mayhem or not.

I better wake up and see that red circle with a strong 8.1 - 9.5 on that Pitchfork article because this is WHAT? - THE ALBUM OF THE YEAR.

Getting in my feelings about pop girls again and I'm so sad and angry for Britney... thinking about all the things she wanted to do in her career and all the little things about being a MOTHER she had taken away from her. All she did was work and work and work and make great art and for that she was punished with misogyny, stalking, and control. I get so mad thinking about how someone who affected so many people so beautifully, who is so loving and caring, was so manipulated and hurt for no reason. They ruined her ability to trust, they ruined her relationships with her friends, and it sounds like a lot of her problems with her sons now are also from the conservatorship (whether directly or indirectly through the trauma it caused her). A living legend who could be someone like Madonna or Nelly Furtado as a legacy act making music for herself and nobody else... or you know who else? Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Paris Hilton, The Devil Man Who I Still Want Poisoned For His Shitty Guitar Playing @ Britney While She Had A Home Abortion On The Bathroom Floor, BEYONCE are the same age as Britney. Some of these people have their own shows, some are doing comebacks and anniversaries, some are doing... whatever Paris just did, and obviously Beyonce has been Beyonce'ing all over the place for the last two decades nonstop. Sometimes I think about how badly Britney just wanted to perform and do her thing and I get so angry about all the years wasted on forcing her to literally dance for others' amusement and others' wealth. She has lost precious time for her career, her family, her fucking ART to this shit. I think all the time about what Britney would be doing right now-- movies? features? fashion?-- and how she is probably retired forever, from everything, because of how shit everybody was to her for just EXISTING in the public eye. I just can't believe we're here in 2024 and one of our greatest stars is not only alive but really very young, and she will probably never do the thing she loves most in the world again because it was spoiled for her by assholes who will never know real consequences. Fuck all of them and I hope Britney experiences full love, appreciation, and healing in her lifetime.

parts of certain songs and especially Can't Stop The High really give me golden era P!NK vibes like the pop punk rock sound with a slight country/americana flair and the gritty vocals and big choruses its everything imagine gaga covering Who Knew oh my god picked up the target vinyl today after my shift and why is the cover lowkey giving Blue Banisters tease with how blurry it is still the best artwork tho

Just finished the album and I am so ... out of words. I don't know where I should even begin...
Die With A Smile as the album closure makes sense more than I thought. This is literally a fuck you for these bitches who been whining & bitching about her putting this song in the final tracklist for months. And no, its not the song just makes sense, IT'S CLEVER AF and here is my theory:
MAYHEM as a whole body of work is actually a "dream" or a "nightmare" whatever you might call it, the "mayhem" is a fantasy, a movie playing in her mind, given birth by streams of consciousness and went all over the place, and we all watching it with her. No beginnings, no ends, nothing makes sense, you go in and out for night after night, like an acid trip and/or ...just a sedated sleep - which starts with a "Disease" (you're so tortured when you sleep) that needs a cure to treat the pain. And that journey reflects throughout the whole album as a "dream"
Thats why Die With A Smile in the end of the record makes sense so much, the first line we hear is "I just woke up from a dream" - literally all 13 previous tracks were realm of dreams. Blade of Grass is like a haunting ending of a movie, DWAS is the credit right after. And in my mind, Blade Of Grass is kinda a very dark, haunting, sad song, its like a tragic faux ending where the main character kept saying "wrap a blade of grass amd we'll make it last" when everything is kinda too late - WHICH then, right after, the first line of DWAS is "I just woke up from a dream" implying that wasnt the real ending, in fact, DWAS is, and its a truly happy ending in real life where our main characters once again come clean with their feelings and affirm "even if the world is ending i wanna be next to you"
The fact that Bruno Mars as the featured artist and he started to sing before Gaga went in is genius too... its like we all been diving deep in the dream in the sleep or even a bad coma with her to that point, and then someone else there woke her up just in time and remind her that she is not alone in this journey, and neither are we.
Gonna review the album in track by track later... ugh i just need time to process this.

people saying they're shocked it doesn't sound like the first two tracks when gaga herself said they aren't representative of the album literally every interview she mentions how Mayhem is titled such because the album isn't a cohesive sound through and through like did you guys think she was just lying about that or wha either way its fine cause I know once its midnight and normal people listen its gonna get the unanimous praise it deserves and the 8.5+ pitchfork score and all the sheep are gonna switch like f4g5 inshallah inshallah the only song im not feeling is Dont Call Tonight but even then its leagues better than everything off Chromatica and thats a win to me so
