Omigosh, the cuteness.... I couldn't handle. Here to post some random Regina thoughts that I have nowhere else to talk about: I wonder if she's going to re-record any more of the songs from the 'Songs' album, especially on this next release. Over the past few weeks, I've grown to love that album so much more than I used to, and though I'm pleased with the way 'Samson' turned out the second time around (or as she said in an interview, more like the thirtieth time around), but the way she cut out the last verse of 'Ne Me Quitte Pas' just cuts me to the bone. I would love to hear anything from that album again, but maybe 'Prisoners' or 'Oedipus' would be best fitting with her new sound. Both are so un-nervingly dark, though, perhaps she wouldn't want to revisit them. Hopefully not 'Reading Time with Pickle', though ~ that song is perfect as it is, and nothing could make it any better. Does anyone else feel like '11:11' enters her catalogue into a whole other level of brilliance? It's such an incredibly underappreciated, unequalled work of art, both in her discography and in every musical sphere I've ever visited. Jesse once pointed out on the Regi forum that it is the most like a concept album of any of her records, however, and somehow I think he's right. First of all, the only three songs she's done even close to recently are the three that were initially on her demo: 'Love Affair', 'Braille', and 'Sunshine'. Secondly, though its purpose was much like 'Songs''s (though a recorded months apart), to archive material, she doesn't seem to have any desire to revisit, much less re-record, any of the songs on it. It's such a brilliant album, with such beautiful production and vocals. I'm so sad I'll most likely never get a physical copy, but we're lucky it's up on iTunes. Someone also said once that she lost the masters of it, which, though very sad, possibly explains why it never got reprinted like 'Songs'. I recently started to collect Regina's entire discography, and I'm so glad I did! I currently have three 'volumes' of her live performances - all the songs she never released that she performed live, as well as an alternate version of 'Belt' with Anders Griffen on drums and four covers. I just realized that somehow I missed 'Be Like a Cloud' somehow...if anyone wants me to upload it, just ask. There are so many that she could have used recently...the fact that she used five of them on the last LP gives me hope that at least some of them will one day make their way online. I actually found someone who still probably has a studio version of 'Belt', but I don't feel the urge to ask her about it, as she apparently got asked about it years before and couldn't give it out. ;___;

Honestly, if it's just old songs.... But I tell you what: my two favourite Marina songs, hands down, are "Blindfold Me" and "Bad Kidz". Both only exist in seriously miserable quality, and though I doubt she cares much for either anymore, I'd still love to hear them in HQ one day. After that, "Scab & Plaster" is still an awesome, brilliant track, and though she's expressed her displeasure in its leak, I can't see why it shouldn't find its way onto some other release...she didn't seem to hate it that much, it just didn't fit on the album. And don't forget that mystery "Electra Heart" song...if it's really with Calvin Harris, I will freak out.

Proof? Sadly, I don't think we'll ever get anything definite...she isn't a big fan of acknowledging leaks, much less confirming what time they were created.

Omigosh....we've been through this literally a dozen times. We're assuming that it's going to be for the second album until proven wrong. Though for some reason certain people think that because they THINK it's an outtake, it is an outtake (perhaps some sort of self asserting, thought-turned-to reality psychology), yet I still refuse to believe it's an outtake until I'm proven wrong. To help prove my point, I could think that "Beach Hut" was intended for 'True Romance', but it wouldn't matter what I think - what matters is the truth, and it's completely impossible, borderline insane, to say that because we think something it's true.

Sitar, I can't believe it! So soon, but i AM READY. Hmmm...what songs from TLE will make it? I hope at least "Royals" and "Bravado", but I would be saddened if anything but "Biting Down" didn't make it. "Tennis Court" should be on there, regardless of how much I don't really love it like the EP songs, but i will be quite mad if "Swingin' Party" makes it.

My fave. I'm pleasantly pleased by all the unheard songs on the tracklist! I think "Now is Not the Time" deserved bonus track status, though. The funny thing is, whenever it starts I think I'm listening to "Caroline's a Victim" for some reason.

Yes. The version we have is most likely just a demo, posted online by a label she was using in early 2011/late 2010.

I think you're right, and that they're registered differently (on ASCAP, BMI, ISWC, HFA, etc.) based on the record deal/publishing deals the song-writers have. Which must be why these tracks with Uzo are up on BMI and nowhere else, and why some (like "Diamonds") can only be found through HFA.

Jordan, what you just said makes so much sense! The one song I'm most curious about (not that I want to hear most, simply that is the most intriguing) is "One Way to Heaven". We don't have many, if any, Sky ballads (besides the couple on 'Ghost'), and every Chris Braide song I've heard lately, excusing "Queen of Disaster", is a slow, melodically strong ballad, e.g. Sia's "Kill and Run", "Blank Page", "Million Dollar Man", etc. What does it sound like??? Pop-py like "Hollywood's Dead"?

I really, really want to make a new thread, just because this one's so old. How about when we get to 200 pages?

This is exactly what I was thinking. Well, the Jon tracks are, so far registered, "Ghost" (which doesn't count), "Rancid Girl", and "On Top", right? I suck at remembering co-writers, so bad. Then most of the rest of the songs she's done live are with Ariel + Justin, if I'm remembering correctly. If she's going for a more cohesive release this time, I wouldn't mind getting "You're Not the One" and four more of his songs. And then there's that random Braide track that was just registered, and I bet that would fit better with Ariel's songs that Jon's, but maybe it's not even intended for release ever.

I don't think either party is guiltless, but after watching my entire Twitter feed go insane over the beef, I can't say I find Lily's side any less atrocious than Azealia's.
