I'm glad she's not censoring herself. Artist should never censor themselves for the sake of their public image. I hated it when she said in an interview that she tries not to use certain words & topics in her songs now that she's 'aware' of her impact on public.

Does anyone know why Lana stopped working with Anthony Mandler after Tropico? Some of her most cinematic & successful videos were done by him.
 
Well, that was my take on it but I might be wrong & there must be better answers. 
That would be nice but I doubt that would ever happen since a lot of people don't enjoy poetry anymore. I mean when I see footage of her live shows, I see teenagers screaming at the top of their lungs while she's singing. She's too pop for that indie shit now.

I disagree here. I love all her monologues whether it is from Ride, Tropico (especially 'Howl' by Allen Ginsberg), National Anthem or Cola. I feel like the orchestra & cinematography behind the poetry was very well done & it went along her mysterious persona.
 
But then it was Born To Die / Paradise era when her music videos were based on storylines & was working with the director Anthony Mandler (Lana should have never stopped working with him!).
 
Although she has let go many of her iconic influences from that era & writes more autobiographical & stripped down music now. I mean the songs aren't that atmospheric and visual anymore. So I don't really see how a monologue would fit for the White Mustang video.

Lol I didn't get that too when I first joined lanaboards but I guess it's because homosexuals are stereotyped as being very dramatic & sassy & everybody here on Lanaboards is the definition of these two things.

They record about 10 to 12 45-minutes episodes of American Horror Story in 6 months with the editing & all. If she doesn't doesn't serve us Tropico/Ride visuals in this video then I would be surprised at her time-management skills. It's just a 3 minute vid after all.

Maybe she'll drop the Mustang video when she's done with tour. She only seems to promote & concentrate on that right now. So when does the tour end?

'Heroin' in Lust For Life is what 'Blackest Day' was in Honeymoon. Under-rated lyrical masterpiece.

White Mustang might be a cute easily-forgettable song with mediocre lyrics, but it has the more commercial value than rest of the album tracks and it might boost up her sales.
 
I'm not saying that it is the best on the album. Heroin, BPBP, We Kept Dancing, 13 Beaches & Cherry (with the 'bitch' & 'fuck') are definitely more artistic but they're also experimental - something Lana stans would enjoy but not the radio.
 
While White Mustang is simple & digestable for the masses.

Aside from the obvious Selena G cameos, and the other girl just randomly posing on the beach with the lighting that doesn't really match the rest of the video's ambience, the video for Summer Bummer was pretty nice to watch. 

It's like a glorified tour video interlude, but it's better than nothing so. At least White Mustang's gonna get the single and mv treatment
