Just like I’ve just said I can’t wait to see what she will come up in the future because her debut it’s a very enjoyable record and some of the songs really shows her potential. But I do not see her lyrics as raw and real – in a Fiona apple level – she seems to put too much effort into it. For example, I remember an interview where she said she doesn’t like to make songs about relationships and that’s why she wrote the lyrics of the record in a way that you can’t really tell if it is for a friend or a boyfriend. She is really self-awareness on how she wants to be portrayed and how her lyrics are meant to be seen, she has a very interesting critical perspective of youth and growing up but she does seem to be limited by it. Since you compared her with Lana, take for example Video Games lyrics “They say that the world was built for two/ Only worth living if somebody is loving you “...Lana does seem vulnerable and totally immersed by her lover and she doesn’t seem to be like “hm will people think I’m not a feminist because of this”? In the other hand Lorde gives me an impression she would ever write anything as honest as this even if she really felt this way by a guy.

There is still hope since she announced Ride like 2 days before but I think she'll release it in the end of october since she'll start her south american tour in beggining of november. She wanted a break so it makes more sense if she spend a week of premiere + tour during the same time than premiere + one month at home then start touring again. And most important: dia de los muertos

Pure Heroine is such a great debut of a 16 years old singer and that's it. Lorde can really translate the joys and fears of coming of age in her lyrics and that’s why people can relate with them. Somehow its honest lyrics works in the first half but soon start to drag and it seems she’s singing about the same things over and over again and shows that although she is a great lyricist she lacks imagination – as Lana has proved is one of these things that can make a difference. She's stuck in this minimalistic sound because her label wants to play safe, but I have a feeling that the better is yet to come. Lorde just need some better melodies and to shape her sound.

Well, she is in LA, right? She's not that big in US but paps always can sell the photos to Daily Mail and europe tabloids, it's not that hard to believe that someone would want to take a photo if you think how many paps are in LA. And it's not like there are photos of her everyday, she was in NY for example and we only got any photos through fans.

How I've said before her tweet really seemed a farewell. Idk what it is, but it does not seem like she is mentioning a poem or something like that

I would agree that Farewell maybe could refer to a poem by Whitman, but her tweet seemed really a...farewell. Like "thank you for inspiring me, love you all".
