Well, I have a song that’s quite aware about the collective worry, about whether this is the end of an era. It’s called “When the world was at war we kept dancing.” But I actually went back and forth about keeping it on the record, because I didn’t want it there if it would make people feel worse instead of better. It’s not apathetic. The tone of the production is very dark, and doesn’t lead to a fucking happy feeling.

she has managed fine without promo. 

it is still possible . She has enough success and love for her to literally drop it at anytime. I think this album is really special to her as it is politically aware and that's something that's close to her heart so I think that is why she gave as little much news about it but coming up to the 26th do you notice how now we are hearing more about tracks etc. 26th is possible tops/vers and bottoms out there.

I really think Lana's just going to release the album on May 26th with no announcement, or at least an announcement right before, why else would she make billboards with "coming soon" and avoid the date in magazines by saying "this spring"

Totally agree-- there's beautiful writing there. It tells a story and asks meaningful questions about lana and her relationship to the world around her. Like lana was upset with spin but it's the journalists job to get a good interview not hers (although, still, fuck them)
