most of this convo about what does and doesn't pass as "real music" often comes from people who don't make music themselves. take it with a grain of salt. for those who appreciate ethel as an artist, lets stream perverts.

music isn't about success or how many monthly listeners you have you bellend.... i think you're the one to talk about having less of a point when ur on here talking about how you can't defend someone for releasing long music. i think some grass touching will do you good babe. i'm not gonna instigate this convo further <3

On my second listen, right as Perverts transitioned in Punish, it felt like the whole thing really clicked for me. My favorite song off PD is Ptolemaea and I feel like it matches the vibes of this project a bit.

The album is being reviewed on a local radio station this Friday and they write "‘Perverts’ sounds like the soundtrack to a David Lynch film that doesn't yet exist, but in its meditative fullness it contains just as many insights into the human condition as we know from Lynch films."

I’ve never listened to this type of music before but I really liked it! The first track scared the shit out of me but when I listened it was 5 am and pitch black outside. The album gave me Skinamarink vibes immediately, and that movie freaked me out so I think she nailed the whole concept. I loved Punish of course and also really loved Onanist on the first listen. I need to listen to it a few more times to get into the other tracks. It was perfect to listen to while working.

Obviously i'd prefer traditionally structured songs but unlike some people in here i have more than 1 braincell and an attention span so i can appreciate this, i listen to a lot of soundtracks too so long ambient instrumentals are nothing new to me. I enjoyed the album a lot, i find it works just as well as background music as it does at full focus. There is so much despair in the music that i find so tragically beautiful. For what it is, ill give it a solid 9/10. Not sure on my ranking yet so i'm going to give it a few more listens before i post that. I do hope we get the B sides soon though because i was expecting something a little less instrumental

that she didn't choose this photo as the cover of Chemtrails is something I will never forgive her for
