Considering some of her songs have some feminist type stances (imo), it's weird that she says she doesn't have any take on feminism. Her saying we've got to a good place 'as women'..hmm. Interesting interview really. But I don't believe she is no longer patriotic otherwise she wouldn't sing American on tour and she wouldn't put American flags on her speakers at her concerts? That's a shame if true..

Who have you seen live? How were they live and where did you see them? Always interesting for me to talk to others about music and to hear about artists are like live, if they talk to the crowd and so on. I've seen Lana (epic, the best I've been to) last month in London. Brand New, Metallica, Bat for Lashes, Coheed and Cambria, Imogen Heap, Yeasayer and Billy Talent. Not very many but it certainly gives you the taste to go see more live music. Aside for the predictable morons being moronic at the Lana concert, I really could see the effect live music has on people. People were crying and soaking in the atmosphere and I really loved that. It's disheartening if an artist doesn't bother to speak much during the concert as it makes it seem like they don't really want to be there but Lana is incredible as I think she makes her audience feel welcomed by her and comfortable and looks as though she loves to be with her fans in front of the stage. So who have you seen and where, when?

Fair enough you don't 'need' it but others feel like they do and should have that right. Nobody 'needs' marriage. You could argue that "straight" people don't need it and it's an outdated institution. I just don't understand why people get so angry about things that don't hurt them or bother them.
