I was pretty sure Lizzy was the ex-girlfriend Arthur was referring to after seeing her anti-Gaga Facebook posts and since he later password protected this entry, but after hearing "So Legit" I'm absolutely convinced.

Yeah, some Jimmy songs are easily transferred to Arthur and Reeve, I suppose...She defined "homie hopper", for sure
 
However, there are a select few songs that definitely are about Jimmy, anyway.
 
- "Jimmy Gnecco" already represents a kind of school-girl crush, if you think about it.
- "Hundred Dollar Bill" is likely about her reading too far into minimal interactions that she had with Jimmy. She figures that him treating her negatively is his way of expressing mutual affection. I didn't say it was healthy
- "You're Gonna Love Me" not only name-drops Jim, but definitely comes across a little more obsessive than actually in love. You're gonna love me, I'm gonna make you.
- "Yayo", as David Kahne said, is about a stranger sweeping her off her feet and taking her away from her dark trailer park life. The similarities to Jimmy still stand, with the snake tattoo and the link on his Facebook.
- "Is It Wrong?" has now moved from basic local rockstar to a definite Jimmy song, with Stalking you has sort of become like my occupation.
 
Existing problems:
- Who was the small-time celebrity that she met in self-help? The subject of "Pawn Shop Blues"...
- Is it totally nuts that they might have had an affair in the D-A-R-K that he chooses to ignore now?

all i had to do was google 'lana del rey' and the first 32 results were about this (literally)

I think it's lazy tbh, it would have been more exotic to pick someone unique looking who doesn't have the advantage of no pigmentation. Not to mention he's already been used by two singers before at least. It's like she's recycling Katy Perry's and Beyonce's old video prop.

I think it's more a matter of taste, I mean sometimes people idolize the shit out of writers I find terrible and so on  I can see how it can come off as cringe-y at parts and there's some bits I dislike ('I believe in the country America used to be' 'make our lives a work of art' which i know she loves but it's so ugh) but a lot of it is beautifully written and creates an imagery I wish I could express in my writing too:

I don't know, these really get to me. 

Am I really one of the few who love her monologues? I don't even find them that cheesy, the intro of Ride is a very strong piece of writing.

This song is chill inducing - Like I said on another post; I rate this song up there w/ Annie Lennox's 'Love Song For A Vampire' as one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard (period) - If Black Beauty is a sign of the direction of her new album (apart from it being my Album of the Year) then hopefully Lana will finally get the Grammy(s) she deserves !!
