    FROM ATRL

So I just came back from the ARTPOP listening party in Beriln. It was such an amazing event! I bet the live-stream was a mess and boring I will obv. re-read it all. Let me skipp all the details before the event, just telling you we all had to give in our mobiles and they searched everyone like a the airport. But I also saw a guy with a mobile inside so maybe someone might have recorded it.

She came to the stage and just anounced the album and she played the full album without stop. She shot alot with her own cam and she even came on a little podest during Aura/Venus and was in the middle of the croud. Sooooo close!!!! Most of the time she was on the main stage and just dancing or sitting and siningn along. Tara was amazing lol she knows ALL the lyrics and really went in! Also Lace, Frederik and the other guy from the Swinefest were on stage with her. During Gypsy also Lane came on stage.

Oh and during Dope Tara and Gaga cried SO much! They love it so much. Just to explain you we were in this big room and then they just played the full album very loud and had lights and all. It was like in a club and we were all jumping, dancing and singing, so it was VERY hard to remember/understand the lyrics so sorry about that.

    - Aura, vocals like in the lyrics video, the rest is exaclty the same as the demo version to me.

    - Venus, ok so she was on the podest and everyone was going crazy so we were all excited but this is a typical big gaga song! It starts with the "Rocke No. 9" lyrics (or whatever she posted), it's quite midtempo at first (in a way like ARTPOP maybe hmm), but the chorus is fast and very catchy, I think it either had a great pre- or postchorus. The chorus was the "This could be love"-Lyrics. She sings also "Let me be your Venus". I know I loved it.

    - G.U.Y., if the preview hyped you you will die when you hear the song. It has some weird intro something along "Welcome to....", kinda like in a plane. It has the typical Zedd music style, it had an amazing pre-chorus!! I wanna be the G. U. Y., I wanna be the G.U.Y., I wanna be the G.U.Y., .....and then something else lol. The last sentence is something different in the chorus but I forgot  I think something like "So let me ....". Honestly that song is BIG!

    - Sexxx Dreams, similiar to the iTunes version but the beats are HARDER on the chorus (might have been just the base in the club though?), but from the second chorus everything changed! There were some adlibs to the Last night .... part. And it sounded great, I really didn't understand what she said though. Just some additional words. And the bridge was something totally different!! But they kept the "I can't believe I'm telling you this but I'm kinda drunk" part. Def. improvment, the chorus ain't that repetitive imo!

    - Jewels N' Drugs, totally the same as iTunes.

    - MANiCURE, the 2 mins lq leak is def the album version! The heal me part is only sung for the bridge! The chorus is much better now, you can listen to it on the leak. She sang something like "she can be saved, but not from man...." something like that. I really don't remember. But it's better. Oh I think the "heal me" part was after the breakdown where Lacee danced on the itunes, or was it before? Damn. Anyway the breakdown is I think twice as long and then the chorus comes back. I felt like it was a bit less rocky. We all jumped during the song it was amazing!

    - Do What U Want, well nothing different

    - Artpop, her vocals are softer as you heard in the preview. The Hee-Hee's are still in there after the first chorus and the song ends with "Free my mind Artpop, you make my heart stop". The rest is same as iTunes.

    - Swine, starts with the music that came after her I know I know piano part on Swinefest. There is no squeling at the end of the song, the beat is SICK!!!! But pretty much same as iTunes just generally harder!! Very good.

    - Donatella, had a killer chorus, very good Zedd music, it had some amazing music breakdown. The chorus is exactly what you expect from an EMD track. I know I loved it but barely can remember it now.

    - Fashion! .....she sang just before the chorus "I can rule the world, we can rule the world".....and something like "You're my love" + "Let me be your fashion!"...but it still is about Fashion, not a pure love song. The chorus was very uplifting, I know I dind't really care about the verses. The music during Chorus sounds quite Madeon, I guess that might have been David Guetta's part?

    - Mary Jane Holland, I'm sorry to tell you but I barely remember it. Just like Venus, G.U.Y. and Sexxx Dreams flow so much together also Donatella, Fashion! and MJH flow very well but it's kinda hard to different them at first listen! I know she spelled something out before the chorus M . . ...three letters but it wasn't MJH. She also says "Let me be your Mary Jane Holland". I kinda expected it to be wilder, Donatella is harder imo. But it had typical Madeon music. It is a great track but wasn't memorable to me sorry.

    - Dope, it's sung like I wanna be with you but I think she didn't keep any of the original lyrics. I know she sang something like "I need you more than you need me". Oh the end of the chours is "I nedd you more than dope". It's just piano but in the club it felt like it also had a bit of drum. Tbh it doesn't fit in the album at all and is a real downer. But it is a good song but you just have to feel like listening to it.

    - Gypsy, great song, it starts slow, goes midtempo but the chorus is very fast actually, like a faster TEOG during the chorus. It's very uplifiting but still a bit melancholic. You heard the lyrics now. The I'm a gypsy gypsy gypsy part was great on the track. The toniiiiiight toniiiiiight is where the fast upliffting music kicks in. Also the city name calling was good on the track, it kinda felt natural. In the CD version she didn't sing the german part she sang on the piano. Very great track and def single material.

    - Applause, that was SO different, I was shocked!!!! .....jk, same as single version but it was good to close the album. I understand why she used it. But somehow it doesn't fit on the album for me. It's like an outsider a little bit.

The album flows very well. No song sounded out of place really (except Dope and Applause imo). Aura is a great opener. Venus, G.U.Y. + Sexxx Dreams flow SO well they are all amazing and single worthy.

Do What U Want + Artpop flow very well together too.

Just like Donatella, Fashion! + Mary Jane Holland fit very well together allthough for me they didn't stand appart too much! Don't freak out though, we were all getting tired cause of the dancing and it was going towards the end lol. They are all great tracks though.

I think there will def. be some monsters that will prefer songs 2-4 (the midtempo catchy tracks) vs songs 10-12 (the EDM influenced songs)

There is no bad song imo. Like not at all. I don't think I will skip any track. It's a great album! Overall it's more mid-tempo than you might have expected/hoped for. But songs like Swine, Donatella, Fashion! and MJH are def EDM influenced.

Is it her best album? As of now I can't tell I can just say I really REALLY loved it!

Please when you listen to it start from begining to end. It's really a piece of work as one and it all flows very well. You can feel she put lots of work into it.

    These are my first thoughts

Oh and those two black girls that asked questions about DWUW? I'm 100% sure they worked for the record company or something. Gaga NEVER mentioned R. Kelly on the event, not once but both girls aren't Gaga fans but are now (what a coincidence) and both knew it was R. Kelly that was featured on it? This was from the record company just to push it.

But imo Gaga is all about Venus, she came as an Alien, she went to the little stage where everyone was freakint out to record Venus playing so it will look great. I'm def sure there is fight between Gaga and Interscope imo. Just felt like that to me lol.

I am hoping I am able to download the album before Monday because I'll have no internet connection for a week and I need to listen to the album over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

You should walk up to her, congratulate her on a great album, smile and whisper the following into her ear, verbatim: "Send me the outtakes and no-one gets hurt." Show no facial expression. Wouldn't that be dramatic? I can totally picture that.
Oh, and just before she slowly removes herself from you, being both amused and disturbed, but mostly disturbed, you should wave her nearer once more and say: "Follow me on Twitter because I said so."

    I'm done.

You don't just reword a SitarHero Original.

Okay let me have a non-jokey crack at this:

    1. Tennis Court - I don't know if it's the same in other countries, but disenchanted youth seems pretty similar in New Zealand and very small-town America. Here, the tennis court is that hangout place. Ours was across the street from the high school so people would go there to smoke weed at lunch and stuff. Now I can't say the same for Lorde, but it doesn't seem like she's talking about the sport. It's kind of budding fame from a teen's perspective, witnessing her world become so much larger than her boring town and hanging out at the tennis court (I'll see the veins of my city like they do in space.)
    2. 400 Lux - This song is very nighttime, it seems like she's being rebellious and sneaking out at night to meet with her crush. You know as a sneaky teen on a school night, all you can really do is drive around and talk. You can kind of imagine her driving through those weird developing suburbs "where the houses don't change" and stopping for orange juice. Teen love.
    3. Royals - I mean she's explained this one plenty of times--teens attach themselves to images of luxury in their music but are incapable of living it.
    4. Ribs - Other than the obvious lines "it feels so scary, getting old", this kind of captures that anxiety of growing up--but a teen growing slightly older, where you're feeling less like an infinite Peter Pan, as opposed to actually growing older. It kind of culminates in her almost begging for her innocence back--"it's not enough to feel the lack" and try to recapture it because she already has this pseudo-adult awareness. In the end, she finds child-like comfort in a really good friend or romance--"sharing beds like little kids." It doesn't necessarily have the sexual connotation, you see, if she were talking about a boyfriend.
    5. Buzzcut Season - This one's a little more abstract? But it seems to be some kind of comment on the media and, similar to "Ribs", a personal realization. I'd actually be interested in a discussion on these lyrics because I have a lot of disparate thoughts.
    6. Team - An anthem to small-town teen life, invoking grand imagery like "Royals"--the same message tbh.
    7. Glory and Gore - Part of me thinks this is a pretty exaggerated statement on, like, partying with her friends. Another part is very confused. I can't imagine her getting in a lot of fights but you can imagine everyone being drunk and thinking they're a badass. Gossip maybe? Or maybe I'm selling her short in thinking all of these songs are about ~teen life~
    8. Still Sane - Kind of a promise to stay normal despite this huge fame affecting her life and friendships. At the same time, it expresses an excitement over all this acclaim. I'm little but I'm coming for the title held by everyone who's up.
    9. White Teeth Teens - Reflection on an attempt to join some sort of clique but ultimately feeling out of place.
    10. A World Alone - Now take everything I just said and put it one song. Recognition of newfound fame as seen in "Tennis Court" and "Still Sane"; the innocent, car-centric love story of "400 Lux"; the uniquely teen perspective of "Royals", "Glory and Gore", and "Team"; both triumphant loneliness and friendship as seen in "Ribs"; what appears to be a comment on media imo in "Buzzcut Season"; and "all my fake friends" recalls "White Teeth Teens". This being another reason why I harshly sideeye AWA haters.

    YES at her nipples!

    NO at her trout pout!

Actually I love how kind of...hideous it is? Very daring. Sky 16 bi do not give a fuckkkk. I'll be very pleased to have this on my shelf and I like the green color scheme, her kinda unpleasant aesthetic in this album era is pretty cool. What I really love is that it totally comes across as a cover for any number of rock bands with some strung-out looking hot chick on the cover, but here the strung-out hot chick is the singer! I LIVE.

I'm worried about the kiddies sneaking it home? Like how are the physical editions gonna look? @@Madrigal face your record store with pride, live that badass life, I believe in you

Sorry to be a downer, but there are no comprehensive lists like this out there. There are plenty of Gaga forums, but n o n e (not even the most popular one) of them offer sufficient information on what you are looking for. Gagapedia is incomplete and anything but a reliable source. I am, however, working on such a list which does not only include the song titles but also extensive information on recording dates, production info and qualities available. It will take a while, though. Once it's finished, I am all for sharing it.

I know. I am just so happy (like SO happy) because we know how much Sky had to struggle to come up with an album she was really proud of, hence why we've had tons of different titles and everything. If she was able to announce an album cover with her breasts showing, it's probably an album filled with songs she's really proud of or ones she really wanted to put out. I still can't believe it's happening.

So her fans can stare at those blessed beautiful booby boobs when they listen to the album on iTunes or a device.

I think it's the opposite, actually. Sky doesn't care about what other people think she should do or not, she'll do exactly what makes her comfortable because she wanted the very first album to be perfect. I think she's brave to have an album artwork like that and most of the people I know are pleasing it so screw what the haters anonymous will say.

I imagine the physical CD will have a sticker on the jewel case so the breasts will be covered, and I guess they'll most likely mention her name and the album title. The digital retailers will probably edit the cover so they won't show the boobs but the original artwork will always be explicit.

There will be an album signing.
She’s choosing a song that’s totally her for the next single.
The swan on ‘Applause’ was inspired by Inez & Vinoodh, Brandon Maxwell and herself, she wanted to tell a quick tale of the ‘ugly duckling’ emerging into the spotlight.
There’s a chance we haven’t heard the next single just like she said on the KIIS FM interview.
Every song on the album is completely different.
The collaborations in it are really authentic.
She’s releasing the new single before ARTPOP.
Jewels & Drugs is probably not the only collaboration on the album.
The album cover is portrayed through fashion.
ARTPOP is about communicating with images.
All songs are significant for different reasons and one of them became a confession of her weaknesses and it was hard to write.
ARTPOP is a psychedelic-pop journey, an album trip that represents my love of popmusic while exploding and pushing its ‘artificial’ limits.
Album cover will come out sometime in the next two weeks and it’s her favorite of them all.
There’s a song about Venus on the album.
She’s now finishing a song which is very inspired by the beyond, the future.
We haven’t heard the best of ARTPOP yet.
The album cover is very colorful.
There’s a song called ‘Brooklyn Nights’. And it’s melancholic and personal, you can still dance to it though.
The studio versions of the songs she performed at the iTunes festival will bring thoese sweeping syhths and pop melodies into another dimension.
She’s releasing the ARTPOP tracklisting on September 29th!
She’s most likely redoing unreleased tracks and adding ARTPOP vibes to them.
The Haus has built some beautiful fashion technology that will be unveiled as soon as they receive permits to exhibit.
A new song called ‘Temple’ inspired by her boyfriend, Taylor.
The ARTPOP app was designed by the TechHaus, we are seeing them at the artRAVE.
She made the ‘Lady Gaga is Over’ video before anyone could talk. ARTPOP is about rebelling against things that chain pop music.
ARTPOP is a continuum of The Fame/The Fame Monster.
    ARTPOP is a rebellious album.
She describes herself as a ‘glamour hippy gypsy’.
We haven’t heard the most creative songs on ARTPOP yet but ‘Aura’ and ‘Sex Dreams’ are too.
We are getting more songs with the free app.
'Brooklyn Nights' is a very emotional song about the influence NY has had on her.
She’s very excited about Glee covering ‘Applause’.
'Temple' is about feeling safe with someone so beautiful on the inside and out.
She’s so into Venus ‘cause she thinks her life has changed so much in the past 5 years, she craves something human.
    She’s very proud of us.
"I always thought It was you, you always thought it was me. We always thought we were, it seemed like a real perfect fit, those Brooklyn Nights set us free." - ‘Brooklyn Nights’.
The artRAVE will be a huge event held the night of the ARTPOP release. There will be exhibitions and she will perform.
With ARTPOP, she tries to rebel against the current state of pop.
Creative and interactive games come with the app, all related with social media.
None of the songs on ARTPOP were originally for Born This Way.
The fiber optic wig will happen!

Within the last few years that new artists have continued to appear on the music scene, whether it was in hip hop, r&b, pop, dance, electronic, and etc, i can honestly say Lana Del Rey has left the most lasting impression on me. To the point where pushed me to go from only listening to one song on repeat from her, to an entire album. & Just getting caught up in the reality of the environment and atmosphere she creates. Which in turns serves as inspiration. & To me, something like this is rare. Because, they're aren't too many artists in this newer generation, like the likes of Drake, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, & few others who do that for me. The others, who've been around like Jay Z, Kanye West, Beyonce, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, T.I., OutKast, Michael Jackson, &  too many other acts to name who were big throughout the late 90s & 2000s. Who will always remain my foundation musically. & Lana's about the newest to be added to that fold of talent.

I don't understand people who judge musical artists by their "attitude" or how they come off (or in this case, made to come off like) in interviews or articles. Even with Azealia Banks, I cannot stand anything that comes out of her mouth or on her Twitter, but I admire her as an artist and I enjoy her music and visuals. As for Lorde, she's a sweetheart-- have you actually seen her in interviews? She's a young woman who sort of knows what she wants, and her opinions on things are just like any of us. Her "anti pop star" image wasn't created by her, and I mean, some of her music is definitely pop. And I'm pretty sure the word "shade" lost its meaning-- she's not shading anyone. Opinion =/= shade.
