Charli has always made TR and its sister mixtapes to be more of an anomaly in her discography. I feel like Vroom Vroom EP was a logical step for her. Most of Charli's songs are rather simple and straightforward, TR is still my favorite release and VV incorporates a new sound into her discography while still giving it a Charli edge (see the verses on Secret or the Pulp Fiction sample on Trophy). She's always had her identity but has the diversity and experimentation to find what works for her at the moment.

Sucker - pop with a punk edge
Vroom Vroom/Next album - hyper pop/PCMusic
 
I feel like Sucker (although not my favorite Charli release) wasn't an impeccable album it was still very her and probably couldn't have been replicated by another performer.

It's just that I REALLY like SOPHIE and Charli... and I thought they would create something very very good.
For example, Vroom Vroom is the song I like the most, but it feels chopped? Like a part of the song was cut off the beginning?
 
Paradise I can't even talk about... They way they even sing it, it feels like it's anything but serious.
 
Trophy's good, but it's SO repetitive. A part was recorded and repeated a lot.
 
And by the time I got to Secret, all my intentions of listening to the whole thing were gone...
 
 
I feel the EP would be a-ok for a new artist, but Charli's been writing and producing a lot, it's not her first creation but it sounds like it is.

Most likely reason Gaga did not win was that Oscar voters never saw the documentary (because) it was a documentary and not a "movie"
the song was in so it wasn't able to get enough votes.
Diane Warren is nominated a lot but has never won, there are many voters who do not think her songs (many of which are very generic) deserve to win an Oscar in the first place. (so those that knew she was the writer some would not vote for her).
Oscar voters most likely also did not bother with 50 shades, so they did not see Weeknds song in the movie.
The other two songs that didn't win were almost unknown, but unknown artists.
Which left Sam Smith's Bond song (which in my opinion was nothing more than a remake of Elton John's Tonight), but was the only song the voters
were familiar with, which is usually what wins. (Plus it was heavily promoted to the Oscar voters).
 
Other thing is- from what I have heard, the Oscar voters do NOT see the name of the artist only the movie name, which strongly favored Bond,
(and which is why many feared in the score Ennio Morricone would not finally win his first Oscar).
 
As for subject matter, many of the old conservative men who vote on the Oscars probably are ones where the subject matter (rape/abuse)
is one too familiar for them. The legendary casting couch of Hollywood continues and probably hits close to home for them.
(Much like many in the US still condone the Frat life on college campus, the Animal House culture, which maybe one day will stop but has a long way to go (and that what I considered sabatoge due to the must have been planted article in Rolling Stone  (itself an old boy network) set things back in America many years)

The toning down done on the red scenes made their faces pink and sort of blurry, besides that the video was okay.

I have no problem with you having the music, but what you did was hoarding. You obtained the songs legally (or illegally, frankly I don't give a fuck either way). You reported leaks to her manager, which is extremely unnecessary imo. The songs would've surfaced sooner or later whether or not you were the one in charge of releasing them to the public. If you don't get involved with trading circles, you won't be involved with the issues involved with how some traders can be, that's just my two cents.
 
 
I am not here to kiss anyone's ass for unleaked music, that's a fucking fact. While leaking an album, why would they post it on Soundcloud? The songs are all in 121-124kbps, that makes no sense if they have CD quality songs available sitting on their computers. The only song that was leaked in 320kbps was Fox, so it made me curious as to how or why the other downloads were half the quality of that song. I wouldn't give 1/2 a shit if the songs have never seen the light of day because I'm more than happy with CX1 and CX2 coming soon.
                                                      
Nathan and whoever else began the trading circle or friend circle for Allie fans knew exactly what they were getting themselves into when they started go for her old material. I am not within trading circles for Allie so I'm not going to know or care about how the songs were obtained. I'm enjoying the music just as much as everyone else here. For you to start bitching at me for being skeptical of how people are obtaining these tracks is hilarious since I'm one of the most active users in this thread. The fact that you have enough time to think about my opinion when I don't care about yours is appalling. Get well soon Greenie.

Bitch you sound even more pretentious than that ladie in your profile picture, you do not have the vernacular that you think you possess and I'm certain that someone told you that you were intelligent, gifted, and smart one too many times and you are nothing like that you are nothing of the sort.

My main issue was with the fact that even whilst leaking the songs he's saying that he didn't want to provide download links to the highest quality (not 128kbps Soundcloud rips). What is the point of posting the songs to "stop traders from trading" if the songs were never going to see the light of day? Or to deter fans from getting songs they've been hoarding for months, if not years. Nathan purposefully said that he had the album but wouldn't upload the songs (even after apparently sending them to his friend, or whatever). All of this shit is upsetting her but it was inevitable that it was going to happen some day from some source, inside or outside of her fan base. I knew from when I started following Allie that she wouldn't really want her old material to make it into the public because she wanted to start fresh, so I didn't look for those albums at all. The inflated egos in this tiny ass fan base need to get dropped, quickly. It seems like people believe they have more priority because they've talked to Allie or her manager about music leaking (which at this point, she doesn't seem to care). Everyone needs to just learn to coexist here, it's just some fucking music.
 
PS : I'm neutral on this, it's great that we have new music to listen to but people competing to look like her "best" fan by reporting leaks while hoarding the same songs is reductive.
