Oof. Poor Metroid. >__<

Haven’t they said they’ll make a Metroid game for several years now? Or was that Pikmin? Or is it both? But yeah, I hope they’ll come up with something sometime soon, I’d love to try a Metroid game. I tried it on Wii but the controls frustrated me too much so I never finished it. Hopefully we’ll get BotW 2 next year for the 35th anniversary, and more ports too or exclusives to Switch online (I’m thinking of the old NES and SNES games, maybe they’ll add old Gameboy games too - wouldn’t that be something!) And maybe the pandemic is holding things back. I believe they let most of their staff work from home, but I’m not sure.

Eh, I saw that and I don’t think it’ll happen.

The Naples Quartet (My Brilliant Friend series)

Yay! -
Hi! Since last year, I’ve been hooked on the fictional story about the friendship between childhood friends Elena and Lina and would love to discuss it with others who are familiar with the series too. They are four novels by Elena Ferrante, starting with “My brilliant friend”, and have been adapted for a tv-series which follows the novels pretty much identically. Two seasons of the tv-series is out so far. The story starts when the son of Elena’s childhood friend, Lina (or Lila as Elena calls her) calls to say that his mother has suddenly disappeared again, not leaving a single trace behind. This irritates Elena who then decides to write down every single thing she can remember of Lila and their lives - those memories result in the novels. The storytelling is very vivid and believable, and nothing feels made up. It’s honest and doesn’t seem to shy away from anything. It describes the poor neighborhood in Naples which both Elena and Lila came from, how they struggle to get away from there and improve their lives, feminism, romance, politics, working conditions... You name it. I personally think it’s a modern classic even if it hasn’t been published for that long - the first novel came out in 2011, I believe. Elena Ferrante’s books have been praised all over the world and I’ve even heard of the term “Ferrante Fever” because the story is so good. So! If you’ve read the books or watched the show (or done both!), I would love to discuss them with you, and if you haven’t... what are you waiting for??

Yeah, I feel the same. It’s like what I wrote on my Twitter, Missy Elliot got all my attention and the remix isn’t exactly bad but I’m not levitating either. ┐(´~`)┌

Is the “about me” box in our profiles gone? You know, where you could write anything about yourself. I miss mine, I had a drawing and listed my LB awards and stuff. -
I really thought she’d give us album news this time.

What happened? Oh wait... I just read it. Damn, that’s tragic.

The encyclopedia has several errors I think, so some people even doubt that the timeline is correct. So who knows, maybe Termina does exist! And Marin was so cute, what do you mean?
