I think she totally is part of the tapid liberal consensus that most American celebrities of her range share. They are liberal enough to blame Trump voters for being the underprivileged people falling for populism, not Liberal enough to bring real depth into their perspectives, or look toward places outside America or the Western world, let alone doing it in a way that wouldn't be blatantly neocolonial, giving millions to make them akin to the West but making sure people forget their donations account for 1% of their wealth, and that they support the worst corporations on a daily basis, when they're not advertizing for them. Liberal enough to 'tolerate' or include, to a certain extent, minorities in their content, but not Liberal enough to understand that they won't bring peace in Palestine. Liberal enough to leave aside antifeminist rhetoric, not Liberal enough to stop fueling institutions that are harming minorities, for instance Hillsong but that's only the visible type of ones. To say that climate change is real like 95% of people know but not to take any further action or stop flying private jets two hundred times a year. She's not the only one to do that and I don't think it would be reasonable to ask her to do otherwise, because she's just part of it all, but the media or people acting as if she was taking a stand in ANY WAY by alluding to her disliking for Trump need to stop. Plus her submissive position in her 2010 songs was not an interpretation. It was clearly there, not only in the voice, in the videos, in the overall attitude, it was in the words. It's striking when you discover new songs from that time, like Bad Boy. I'm not saying it's wrong though, it's a fact

I got to thinking that I thought that this album was long to come

as it has been said, the difference is that the album has been done for four months and she started she era seven months ago. Actually releasing it two or three months ago would totally have made sense, considering it's done and MAC was released in September. Now we don't even know if we'll get it within the next five months, and if we don't, it'll be more than a year after. There's actually nothing, not a single thing, to be grateful for; our standards are adapted to what she always used to do, ie making an album in a year or a year and a half, then releasing it and having a coherent era. Plus we used to have leaks, cool visuals, cool interviews, interesting stuff to do in the meantime... now we don't, which doesn't help. There's only the music left but we haven't had music in three months and a half. waiting till "the top of next year" would have been waiting a bit. Now it's fucking mid-April and it's impossible that the album is coming before June, and unlikely it's coming before July-August. Now that's not just a bit. We don't wish her to flop for revenge only, we want her to flop so that she realizes that what she's doing can't be accepted, and won't be accepted

The thing with her is, she never was transparent. We've never been updated about an album during its writing process, except for things like Honeymoon's title in January 2015, but she barely ever communicated about the actual album-making. Of course it also partakes of the mystery that surrounds her. Since 2012 she's never sung a new song live, though she had recorded a lot of unheard songs when she toured in 2013, 2015, 2016. However, now, it doesn't even feel mysterious, it's just disrespectful, annoying and next to unbearable. With LFL we never had a piece of explanation about the delay either, so no explanation should be expected from her. It could be for literally any reason, except the ones that we know aren't valid: Rockwell's family and the label. LFL not being that old - though it must be remembered that it's the longest time lapse between two of her albums, ever - doesn't justify anything because the album is done
