I don't understand why is she so chaotic with the album release of her last 2 records (LFL and NFR).

I really think that she did best with the album promotion of Honeymoon. She dropped the first single on August 12 and released the whole album on Sep 16, with two promotional singles between the dates.

LFL was dragging 5 months, with instagram-snippets-turned-into-singles-in-front-of-us (Coahcella), the album sounded all over the place. I missed the frame in which Honeymoon was promoted and released.

NFR was announced in September and will probably come out in march/april. Which makes 6 months between what we heard first from the album and the actual album.

What awaits us next? 12 months gap between the first single and the album release?

I began listening to her music after Ultraviolence, so that's why I don't know about the promotion of this album. But Honeymoon was solid, it had a frame in which we knew what when and where.

I think she wants to be that kind of an artist that is sharing everything on insta, to be remembered with this kind of approach - yes, it's different but on the other hand it does not fit with her traditional way of promoting new singles on the radio.

I'm not saying she does bad things with album promotion, I'm saying she does weird things. I mean - if she decides to give us something weird like an unreleased compilation with "songs she did for fun" - then she can promote it as weird as she wants.

But when she gives us something traditional,  with traditional radio premieres - then please, stick to it and don't mess us with weird snippet sharing, then scrapping.

Lfl is painful period. Maybe it's really for the best not to comment it. But it's annoying how she does the same with NFR. It is maybe going to be an amazing album, but poorly promoted. If she had released VB now, and release the whole album the last week of february, with 2 promotional singles in between, would've been great.

I like the second half of the HIAB snippet she posted. But I hate the first snippet where she sings about tour life.
I think this song is actually NFR, because it fits the main mood: "you write, I tour, we make it work" a.k.a. happines is a butterfly.

Also, I hate Hope is a dangerous think. Don't like the lyrics. The music is... boring. But I can see the aesthetic she wants and it fits.

I hope this is her next best record. I was disappointed by LFL.

I really loved Venice Bitch. My favorite song of hers, it doesn't get old to my ears to listen it.
I never listened to any of her others songs that much without getting tired.
What's the chance she serves us some of the songs like HTD and HIAB with a major VB-kind-of-a-twist with 10 minutes electric guitars? At least I hope NFR to be something like VB in this regard.

Her last solid album release was probably Ultraviolence.

Ultraviolence was announced December and came out in June with first single in April which was solid, yes. But the music videos were a bit hasty. Considering she teased the Ultraviolence video which never came to be leading to a bad iPhone video releasing in December (iirc). Also the censorship of half of the West Coast music video, though that wasn’t really her fault.

Honeymoon was initially considered as an idea being titled Music to Watch Boys To in June 2014 and announced in January as Honeymoon with the first snippet happening 5 months later and full lyrics randomly appearing in the tour lyric book and then the song being posted to youtube randomly one day in July. Even before then, the first single (MTWBT) was being teased by its actors saying it was coming soon and then for sure coming in June yet we didn’t get it until September 30th when the single was released in the beginning of September. Then we get a Freak premiere that was entirely rehashed footage she never got to release. But I do think in terms of music release, it was solid. Had an amazing Urban Outfitters listening and was just fun overall.

Then it begins to get messy in early 2017 with Love leaking a month earlier than when she even wanted to release it, her title track leaks too leading to a loss of direction i’m sure and LFL just becomes a mess of a release. Then she begins posting snippets which I get is a thing to hold us over but it really just gets people thirsty for certain tracks and mad when the next single isn’t it. Thats all I’m saying abt LFL

Norman is just entirely messy. No confirmation of anything, we’re all just guessing about EVERYTHING and rumors are flying everywhere yet we get none of her official team addressing these rumors. She’s posted SO many snippets which just lead to an absolute hype of particular tracks which will probably end with the tracks not being as good as we thought. She’s also confirmed 11 tracks which means we’ve heard half the album in snippets and when the album releases it might already feel old and we’ll be wanting music FASTER than before. I don’t see a stable release coming either, but let’s hope.

While I was in the office I saw the leak. Then on the ride home listened to White Mustang and Heroine in the car. Wow, they sound both great.
Then on my way to workout heard on the headphones 13 beaches and TNC.
I think the song with Sean is one of the most beautiful things I heard.
Cherry sounds awful. I hope it's not the version we'll have on the record.
