One of the songs that really got me into Lana, it's still one of my very favourites. Where do I start? I love everything about it 
It's my favourite song lyrically, "green swimming pool, pink flamingo, high Christmas lights, blue bedspread and silver tinsel - my hearts delight" particularly that line really sets the trashy trailer Lizzy atmosphere, I love it, as well as the title itself "Trash Magic". And the simple instrumentation, I think, is perfect for the song, it's so low-key and relaxing with the vocals too, they're so heavenly 
 
And I agree, although I love the simplicity of the production I'd love to hear what Lana could do to re-vamp it

I love the sultry lyrics, and her girlish and vulnerable, yet come-hither delivery. I love the whole sound aswell, the bass and guitar.
 
I would love to hear a Lana Del Rey take on this song, how it would come out with her current vocal style and band.

I said, 'yes Bill, I will, it's the day of the parade'. And you looked even more handsome than you did the day that I left you." Love those kinds of lyrics.

I didn't spend a ton of time looking at those, but they appear to be mostly about her parents' efforts to organize opposition to a development project (Lake Placid does really remind me of Twin Peaks sometimes) for classic NIMBY reasons, her dad's real estate listings, and Chuck and Charlie's sports exploits (including a huge fish she caught).
 
However, this article describes in greater detail her dad's furniture company mentioned in that Domain Name Journal profile on him and this article gives more background on her family's ownership of "God Bless America" singer Kate Smith's home-- which Lizzy mentioned in this article and was the inspiration for the original title of AKA-- and their attempts to sell it at a large profit rather than an affordable price for the Kate Smith/God Bless America Foundation who wanted to turn it into a museum.

As your resident Member of the Month interview administrator, I can say I'm really happy to finally see this one happen. Baby V Alex has been in this community for a long time and always brightened it up with trademark sass and thorough clocks to anyone who crosses his path. Maybe most importantly, his passion for Britney Spears borders on Brazilian. Despite our fave-centric differences (*PLUGS ARTPOP*), he is one of my favorite members and although this was long overdue, how fortuitous that this serves as a birthmonth eleganza extravaganza~ Let him hear it! I know but a lot of people who like Lana like Grimes or vice versa (and grimes likes lana  ) so they probably mean MØ's somewhere in the middle if that even makes sense. Still, it's strange to mention just those two names because it doesn't make it very clear at all at what kind of music it even is.
