So I was worried about this with George doing production on her songs but his production is all over the drop in In The City and it’s almost the exact same from the Welcome To My Island remix.
I would love to be proven wrong, but it doesn’t seem George has a lot of range in his production compared to someone like AG. And I’m worried for his involvement on the new album.

I do. And I can hear what was done with who. It sounds like a demo that Charli made with George, was sent to AG to help with some percussion here and there plus the outro fx. The generic bass drop is very George.

The song is cute and basic its basically exactly what a "Charli XCX does a colab with Sam Smith to get on the radio" needs to sound like.
I flinched when Sam first came on only because his glaringly loud high pitch note at the beginning is so jarring compared to Charli's whisper singing in the beginning of the track.
Later in the track when they layer each other's vocals it actually fits well.
Honestly I agree with this being a production problem and Welcome To My Island remix was fun for how different it was from the original but I hope this kind of production doesnt bog down the album. Everything involving A G so far with this 'era' has sounded phenomenal.
