I think Rick Nowels said when they finished SS the first time, he knew instantly it would be a career song for her. I think as landmarks in her career, the three singles from HM stick out. I think that TBD, Religion, and Swan Song are also way better than some of her past discography and show her strengths in writing (the production isn't bad, it can just get tiresome in large amounts quickly, in my opinion anyway)

Been listening to HM in my car non stop. Feeling every track except 24 and DLMBM . Wishing for one more video or single with remixes :,(

Lana is 100 percent for sure nominated this year as a featured artist for Abels CD!! If you look on the nomination page on Grammys website her name is first listed under his nom for AOTY And if you search her name in the search bar on their site her photo is captioned "CURRENT NOMINEE"!! This could be her year! (even though the Grammys are garbage o need her to have one after being snubbed twice)

Now that it's been out for a few months, I've grown to love each song except for GKIT and DLMBM. It has a great coesive sound, IDK why people hate on it

It's very hard to compare these numbers. The contemporary artists you've named are all at different points in their careers. Of course Adele is going to have huge numbers--she fell off the face of the Earth for a while and the hype grew because her album 21 was a HUGE worldwide smash, which many solo females don't have their entire career (excluding Alanis Morissette and Taylor Swift, Madonna) The album was released in the third quarter of the year and is only behind Adele, Madonna (who's album was released over 6 months before HM), and Meghan Trainor (which I genuinely cannot explain how or why) in worldwide album sales. That's actually quite impressive. Being in the top 4 selling albums of the year is not a failure. Especially considering that the content she released is FAR from radio-friendly/accessible to age groups (especially compared to Adele and Meghan Trainor, anybody from children to senior citizens can sing along, unlike, say HBTB).

HM is not a commercial failure, Therres no way she can match the sales of BTD when it's been out for longer, had way more promo, and then had a re release to up the sales LMAO. Compared to other pop garbage on the radio, she's alternative. Her sales are very good for a female alt singer, especially considering how the US media treats her.
