A little info about the Montreux releases from one of their press releases many years ago..... Through an exclusive partnership with Montreux Sounds, Eagle Rock Entertainment is making highlights of the Festival's performances available for the first time for worldwide television broadcast as part of its "Live at Montreux" series. Eagle Rock also has an exclusive agreement with Montreux Sounds for access to its Festival archives, including shows dating back to the 1960s. With permission from the artists and their record companies, many of these performances are being released on DVD and CD. Eagle Rock's "Live at Montreux" DVD/CD series debuted in November 2004 and has captured major artists at critical junctures of their careers (Bonnie Raitt), crowd favorites delivering classic sets (Earth Wind & Fire, Chic), and seminal artists that are no longer with us performing their greatest works (Johnny Cash, Marvin Gaye). Many performances are recorded in High Definition, and are available in stereo, 5.1 surround and DTS audio.

Really disappointed, but if she doesn't feel comfortable with it, for whatever reason, it is what it is. The truth of the matter is,as Graham stated, pro-shot shows can sometimes be owned by third parties and therefore can sometimes be released outside of Lana's label. IDK if it will happen with this show in particular or any show at all for that matter. Especially while she's on Interscope Honestly we'd be more likely to geta professional relase of her performance in Montreux. TONS of release this and it's a pretty big deal tbh. Really praying because it's our best best at this point.

The 3-day festival will be livestreamed on AOL.com and will feature performances from the hottest artists like LCD Soundsystem, J. Cole, Zedd, Lana Del Rey, Ryan Adams and the Shining, and notable acts like Air, Halsey, Grimes, Chance the Rapper, Beach House and Brandi Carlile. SOMEBODY PLEASE RECORD THIS! High By The Beach, Freak, and Religion are definitely on par with her past successes in terms of quality IMO. Definitely better and more fleshed out than tracks on BTD and UV. Music To Watch Boys To also meshes well with her catalog of singles as well I love HM. I don't like the levels of the bass in some songs , but it's easily adjustable when listening in my car

Lmao regardless of whether it's a "big company" that is producing this product, it's not an official release. If her label wanted this out, theyd have it out. There are tons of Brazilian live DVDs from many US artists. They are generally overpriced webrips or files that are easily obtained (for free.....) so they make tons of $$$$ because all they're doing is printing the cheap cover art and disc. Long story short - it wouldn't be bad as a collector's item, per se, but if you dont like watching this concert online, burn it to a DVD . The quality will probably be the exact same. Because it's a bootleg.

I really love Mertens' work that we've heard. His style is actually a great match with LDR. I'm dying to know if he produced versions of Kill Kill and Smarty, and if any other tracks almost made the album. The Brite Lites demo is very intriguing. :deadbanana:

Novelty artist is the perfect way to describe Meghag Trainor. There is no artistry in her work, she may have a handful of hits already , but it's a question of quality over quantity. She is manufactured pop for a large audience, unlike Lana who uses very adult themes, often in vulgar ways. Lana is more suited for alt/AC radio (which is even debatable if she falls into those categories) whereas Meghan can get airplay in the most commercial markets. Music sales are a numbers game. It depends how you spin it and who's spinning it

Black Beauty was produced by Rick Nowels, not Paul Epworth, no? And It was hardly "released everywhere"....it was released first accidentally publicly online (by the producer, Rick Nowels) and then was a region-exclusive remix EP. Also I thought the "Adele producer" Dan Auberbach talks about in that interview was Rick Rubin for some reason, but the article didn't specifically recall WHICH Adele producer the track was played to. Also BB was never publicly talked about becoming a video/major single. Long story short, it's fictional...that picture contains a lot of falsehoods and assumptions. The original interview it references does not state many of those "facts".

Either way I'm proud of her. For being pretty alt, but somewhat AC she sells pretty well. The music industry changes so quickly so comparing Lanas sales ans positions to Bowie, Adele, etc. is strange in a way. There was a time that huge songs were robbed from their billboard positions due to airplay/release rules and some songs remain hugely relevant in pop culture but don't skyrocket to number one. It's all a numbers game, which is so easily skewed (for better and worse)

Sainthood and The Con are still amazing records to me. Their music has meant so much to me growing up. I couldn't tell you how many songs I love off of each of their other releases, there's too many to choose from. Between LY2D and Heartthrob, there is a total of three songs that I listen to. Production is too distracting and cheap sounding on these recent records. Get Along is an amazing live collection though, I love it to pieces
