  1. May 26th was reported by Rolling Stone and Vulture (New York Magazine). Reputable magazines did go up for May 26th.
  2. Given this era, I'm only trusting it about 95%, but it's because they interviewed her. Of course, Elle also interviewed Lana and they said this about it "In a candid interview to mark the release of her stunning new album 'Lust for Life'..." So...anything is possible.
  3. Then, by that standard, Lady Gaga isn't a major pop artist in 2017 and she's still doing better than Lana. But I'm not expecting Lana to be a chart smasher. I don't even care if her album goes even fucking aluminum. But I do want this era to go better than it has been. Releasing a song and then going silent for weeks without any info isn't a good thing (ofc she gave us C-WIMM, which is good, but prior to that, I mean).
  4. She's a multiplatinum selling artist. If that ain't a major pop act, then nobody is.
  5. i thought of No Frauds when i saw that tweet. needed a PAP pap PAP pap ᵖᵃᵖ ᴾᴬᴾ ᴾᴬᴾ ᵖᵃᵖ PAP
  6. Uh, thousands of people work on a single Hollywood film's crew, each with important roles to play. And it takes a lot less effort to edit, master, etc. an album than it does an album. They are not comparable. Are you telling me that Lana Del Rey does not control her own promotion? "Radio is in its death throes" and yet other artists who've released singles this year are doing significantly better than her. Radio being in its death throes didn't seem to stop any of them. Her inability to promote her music lies squarely at her feet. Fucking Lady Gaga, who has been on a steady decline since Artpop, charted higher than her. That's just embarrassing.
  7. I'd be okay with the wait if this era wasn't a complete disaster (granted, it's not entirely Lana's fault, but a disaster nonetheless)
  8. An album is not a film, so I don't know why you're even attempting to compare the two. It's also more than just about the speed. I'm used to eras that were, you know, managed decently well. Not an era where a single featuring a multiplatinum selling popular artist doesn't even get pushed beyond the day of its premier.
  9. You make it sound like I wished for her puppy to die or something. Jeez. Also, I hope you've never listened to anything of hers that has leaked. Ever. Especially if it was intended for an album. Because that high horse you're wouldn't nearly be as nice.
  10. Almost two months is a pretty long time for an album that was supposed to be out in the Spring, and for an album that had "Coming Soon" billboards put up, and for an album that had its very first single come out in February. But, it does explain the fact that the album trailer and the album theme don't even match. I stand by it.
  11. See? This is why you don't get excited for things you know aren't going to happen. This entire era has been a mess. Might as well make it worse.
  12. If people even read the Flaunt interview, they'd know why it's a relatively good argument against the 26th being LFL's release date. Not having a finalized tracklist so soon before its release (assuming the interview was done even by mid to late April) isn't a very good sign, since physical copies of the vinyl and CD need to be pressed.
  13. Nobody answered your question, so I will: the answer is that it doesn't matter since neither were promoted all that much. Love was the first single but LFL was described as the lead single.
  14. Until Lana Del Rey, or entities representing Lana Del Rey (UMG, TAP Management - more specifically, Ben and Ed), say what the date is...it's unconfirmed. Whether they say it in an article or not. And so far, the entities that represent Lana Del Rey (UMG) have scrubbed references to dates from their websites. No, what we have are publications that are using leaked dates. Even the publications that directly spoke with Lana - Elle, Dazed, Flaunt - never bothered to ask or push for a release date when talking to her. And, quite frankly, that Flaunt interview indicates she hasn't even settled on a final tracklist yet. If it comes out on the 26th, I'll be surprised. But I am not expecting it to, and I am of the opinion that it was pushed back.
  15. hate to burst your bubble but it's only repeating the leaked date. a paraphrase of another magazine's interview is def not confirmation.
  16. I sense a dramatic story here. Fill me in.
  17. yeah, that one. idk how to get pure audio out of it.
  18. Does anyone have a link to the audio from Lana's Instagram account of her singing C-WIMM? I'd totally appreciate it.
  19. Vinyls go quickly. It's best to order it and wait for delivery. Ehhhhhhhh. No preorder, no date said by her, no tracklist... this might as well be a surprise release.
  20. Even if it's not evidence against the date, it's still something to consider when looking at what Rolling Stone, etc. say (and not take it as the final word).
  21. The problem with these kinds of posts is that while Rolling Stone and other reputable sources have said May 26th... Universal Music Group websites removed the May 26th date from their websites. There's just as much evidence for a 26th release date as there is against it.
