HYPOTHETICAL: MTV Unplugged with LANA

I think the worst that could be said is that Lana's too individualistic to be a classic cookie-cutter Bond girl. But opposite Daniel Craig's modern, flawed Bond, I think that could actually work in her favor.

I thought the same thing.

As much as I love Yayo and Jimmy Gnecco, I think I have to agree with Blue Jeans!

Which song by Lana Del Rey best describes you?

alternate title for Hundred Dollar Bill -
I love how these playlists are like getting a new album every time, even with all the overlap! Okay, I tried to make an alternate version of Born to Die, sort of what it would have sounded like in a parallel universe if EH hadn't intervened. (Not that I don't like the final result; I love it, but sometimes I overplay it and need a fresh take on it.) So I put demo versions of all the songs in the same order as the BTD tracklist (well, with a live version of OTTR). And I kinda liked it, but lost interest quickly. But then I decided to mix it up, and add songs that sound like they could have been intended for BTD, and here is what I came up with! THE REVENGE OF LANA DEL REY Hey Lolita Hey (Lolita demo 1) (3:51) This Is What Makes Us Girls (demo 1) (3:36) Lucky Ones (demo) (3:48) Never Let Me Go (4:07) Blue Jeans (demo) Video Games (demo) (2:14) Dark Paradise (demo 1) (2:25) Kinda Outta Luck (3:17) Happy Birthday Mr. President (0:54) You Can Be the Boss (3:05) She Walks Into Mine (0:08) National Anthem (demo 1) (3:37) Dangerous Girl (4:22) Diet Mtn Dew (demo 3) (3:39) Off to the Races (5:00) Million Dollar Man (demo) (3:42) Hundred Dollar Bill (demo) (3:13) Carmen (demo) (4:17) She's Not Me (3:46) Without You (demo 1) (3:06) Born to Die (demo 2) (4:21) Radio (demo) (3:31) Driving in Cars (4:17)

Yay, there's hope for me! YES. And Break My Fall delivers a smart, strong perspective all coated in ear candy yumminess. (But I agree with the point that none of them would do well on popular radio.)

Kinda Outta Luck - "Sin City" from a female POV :badbitch: Blue Jeans - The video that made me fall in love with Lana Del Rey. Gramma - Because I was a W. Axl Rose groupie too. Hey Lolita Hey - Because I can put a feminist spin on anything. Video Games - A true work of art that deserves every bit of recognition it's got. You Can Be the Boss - Um... just because.

Ooo that's a tough one. Bel Air. Bel Air vs. Yayo (2012)

What would you do if you could be Lana for one week?

I can't say for sure, obviously, but I would think if someone who got off alcohol was trying to encourage someone who got off meth, they might say something like "I got clean too." -
She sort of used that "moment" at the beginning of Yayo (2012), the way she sings "and the iiink bluuuuuuuuuuuue......."

"Trash Sugar Magic" = what Jesse from LDR.FM called the version of "Trash Magic" with the verses from what we now call "The Man I Love." -

Unless David Lee Roth has fallen on significantly harder times these days, I think DD must be a nickname -
Neal, is this a Samuel Richardson reference?

It happens all too often, actually. There's quite a few shitstorms raging in the evangelical community right now, as cases of sexual exploitation by pastors come to light. Most people can agree that sex with a minor is a crime for a reason, and the adult should be held legally accountable. But it seems that most churches can't resist blaming the young girl at least as much as the older man. (And God help her if she's technically of age at the time.) These people need to wake up and realize that feminine desire is not in itself a problem in need of fixing. These young girls' feelings matter too, and that's a major reason why I love this song so much. (TBH my head almost exploded when I first heard it. Two online worlds converging and stuff.)

LANALYSIS: Relating Songs To Known/Assumed Relationships

IDK, it's possible to break up with someone and then be pissed when they move on. Especially if you feel like it's their fault you had to break up. -
Unreleased songs you want Lana to rework/release

NOIR!!! -
I honestly can't decide which it is. Or which would be more poetic.

I think I can hear her flipping pages in the background. But yeah, it's a great song. I'd love for her to re-record it, though!

:omgha: IMO it could stand to be edited down, but man what a hilarious first couple of minutes.
