I can't speak for recovering alcoholics but I used to go to AA in my late teens/early 20s. I got things in my life taken care of and under control and can do things like go to festivals and bars with my friends and not have a relapse. Again not speaking for her or anyone else else who may be a recovering alcoholic. My case is unique to me and I'm not giving advice, just offering my experience.

As someone else posted, we don't know how much he knows about her past. It's not like I've ever told a new boyfriend within the first month or two of dating that I was an alcoholic. To many people, going to a beer fest is a very normal/date type thing too do. I know when I was dating my fiance I didn't disclose it right away and drank lightly when he took me out.
 
Besides all that, we dont know if she drank or not (yet) and even if she did, it's her life. One of the worst things for me as a former alcoholic is that weird stage when your inner circle is low key judging you the first time they see you with a beer in your hand and thinking your going to fall into a relapse and not understanding that you have gotten over it and can handle drinking normally like anyone else again.

For what it's worth, I don't really think there should be limits on what can be speculated on. There are topics I personally won't speculate on because i'm either uninterested or think it feels invasive, but an aspect of fame is that you are a spectacle and people will analyse your life. If we start regulating it where do we draw the line? Everyone has has different boundaries and values. Would a zero tolerance speculation policy help or ultimately lead to a dead forum? I'm not really sure, but i'm confident that if this kind of discussion didn't happen on lb it'd happen on twitter or somewhere else. I guess I would recommend deciding where your personal line for speculation is and disengaging from topics that cross it.

I'm so glad sis is doing stuff like this. She looks so happy and healthy. I'm glad she enjoyed herself at the beer fest too.

Currently, Lana is attending a football game at Coweta High School in Coweta, Oklahoma.

It appears that Lana is there with Sean Larkin, his daughter or son, and her/his friends. Sean's children attend/are alumni of Coweta High School. Other fans spotted Lana and Sean out and about today in the Brookside neighbourhood in Tulsa and at Utica Square, an outdoor shopping mall also in Tulsa.

 

As a beer snob myself, his taking her to Oktoberfest is honestly the least objectionable thing to me about their relationship so far.

Being able to drink again without self destructive behavior is not a relapse.
 
But we can agree to disagree. I'm glad sis looks healthy and having fun with her new man.
