Just out of curiosity, what was "that"? What did she want to turn down?

Bel Air I find it overproduced and a bit boring. It's probably my least favourite Lana song, I simply don't get why people love it so much.

I hear: "my better lines" "like dynamite" (not 100% sure on this one because I hear an 's' sound at the end) definitely "MTV" (which also kinda makes sense given "Swingin' in New York to Nirvana songs / With nothin' but that t-t-television on" - Nirvana MTV Unplugged in NYC?) "Brooklyn Corleone" (EDIT - agree with @@evilentity on this one, it's "quoting".) "tried hard to find a cure"

LANALYSIS: Relating Songs To Known/Assumed Relationships
elllipsis replied to Sitar's topic in Lana Thoughts
I don't know... What you said about the 'cure' being 'ice' (and simultaneously being 'wrong') kinda makes sense, but I personally don't think this song's deals with pain all that much... The only darker / more pessimistic lines are "The future's lookin' bright as black tonight / You tell me that our love cannot endure" and everything else is basically a description of happy times & her notion of paradise - with him in his bedroom, watching TV (and maybe doing drugs?). But I could be completely wrong... -
LANALYSIS: Relating Songs To Known/Assumed Relationships
elllipsis replied to Sitar's topic in Lana Thoughts
I think it's just a reference to doing drugs... Lucy's in the sky with ice tonight, Heaven knows I've tried to find a cure. Baby, if it's wrong I don't wanna be right, And if you ask again, I'll say "I'm sure." The "Lucy's in the sky" reference doesn't really need any explaining, "ice" is slang for meth, "tried to find a cure" could mean 'tried to get clean', "and if you ask again, I'll say 'I'm sure'" could mean that the guy she's with is asking her something like 'are you really sure you want to do this?' to which she says 'yes, I'm sure'. EDIT: re: "ice" - as everyone knows, the original song goes "Lucy in the sky with diamonds"; 'ice' can simultaneously mean 'expensive jewlery, diamonds' as well as the above-mentioned drug slang. It could be an intentional play with words / double meanings. Another K-themed song, I'd assume? With all the mafia references and whatnot... -

I don't what that says about my taste, but I really *REALLY* like this.

Cola - 10 Bel Air - 24 This is the weirdest song elimination game to me... Cola is my fave from Paradise, and Bel Air is the one I like the least; in fact, it's probably my least favourite Lana song, period.

James Bond theme song-core.

Lana Del Rey Shooting New Short Film, "Tropico"

Yup. That's one of those few certain things in life, like death and taxes. -

My opinion: Bieber is just a bratty & spoilt teenager who was ruined by way too much money and insane adulation at a very young age; Bynes is quite simply clinically insane.

Jules' solo album is (imo) the best out of all of the guys' side projects (although probably also the weirdest and least easy to listen, in a way), but I just have to recommend Little Joy! Little Joy is Fab Moretti + Rodrigo Amarante (of Brazilian rock band 'Los Hermanos') + Binki Shapiro (Fab's ex-gf and owner of an incredible voice). Now, I don't usually like or trust Pk4's reviews, but the way they described their sound is simply spot on: "The three of them spend their afternoons hanging out a down-at-heel neighborhood bar (it's called Little Joy), mixing their own cocktails, strumming on ukuleles, and singing along to a jukebox stuffed with Brazilian bossa nova, Portuguese fado, Julie London ballads, some early Mazzy Star, one of those Spanish Jonathan Richman albums, and the Velvet Underground's Loaded. And that's it... and it's pretty great." It's super sweet and easy to listen, and also happens to be a perfect summer record. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-Rg0-fHQ00

Aw, such a shame that ZVVL wasn't included... But hey, if Iain sings main vocals in other tracks (as appears to be the case), that's good enough for me!
