I never started this thread because...i don’t know, you know when you have too much to say that you’re just better off not saying anything at all? What would i even say here, Hey, i love The Beach Boys, they’re great? How much would i say? How could i ever keep it at a reasonable length? Would anyone even care? Where would i even start? (Don’t sweat it, Erik, you’ve written this out in your head a hundred times before). What would i say about the music that, even after the wealth of different stuff that i’ve been exposed to throughout my years, has changed my life more than any other, the recordings that have taught me more about music than anything else, the subject that i’ve, seriously, probably studied more than any other?

Whats up to all the good folks out there of Lana boards. Just wanted to use this story as my introduction to the message board
 
 
Been a fan of Lana's music for about year now. & What really got me into her was when i heard Off To The Races. Everything about that record just pulled me in. From her 50-60s adventurous vocal performance, to lyricism, content & just the overall production. She just really gave me an experience. Pretty soon after i started searching the net (youtube, google, & music sites) for anything related to her, and from that point on i couldn't get enough. & It was during this time where i began experimenting with a lot of the stuff i heard from her, being that im producer. Remixing some of the songs that caught my attention. Soon after a couple of the songs that i had worked on and released was noticed & realized by one of the writers, Mike Daly featured on Born To Die. & He showed his appreciation letting me know how much he loved it, and i was extremely humbled and honored. Shortly after, Lana followed me, & i just began to love her even more lol.

'Dream Brother' is probably my fave Buckley song. I thought it could fit the BBW instrumental quite nicely, and also figured it'd be something Lana would approve.
 
(Btw, have you ever read his bio 'Dream Brother'? 2 people recommended it to me recently & both said it was very good and incredibly sad... Judging from the story & lyrics of 'Dream Brother' and how much it affects me, I believe it! I think I'm gonna buy it soon...)

@ i also really adore that BBW instrumental! if you were meaning with which lana song it would combine, i can hear it with "miss america / trash magic", beginning the vocals at the same time the instruments start...if only i knew how to try this mix out and see if it works! what program do you use? is it very difficult?
