I mean shouty is fine, I guess pitchy was more what I was looking for... The shouting in allergic to love is fine but here the shouting sounds kind of out of breath at times and just, not that good, idk.
 
And no I don't want to hear that! I refuse to believe she only did synthpop because that's what her label wanted I want to believe that the whole dark pop thing and nuclear seasons and stay away was what she wanted! I mean, she talked about how she just instantly clicked with Ariel when they made stay away. I figured it was the sound she wanted.

That's one way to look at it--in fact, which she'd labelled it that way. She did say she released it to give some insight on her process and she also said (to me) in her Soundcloud Q&A that it would be released eventually in its final form. I was imagining something similar to "Gone and Found" but it sounds so much darker live...How exciting.

I was looking up who was going to be opening for the Lorde show I'm going to next week, and I saw his name and I had no idea he was going to be this brilliantly genius musician, like, fuckkkkk. I downloaded his album right away after listening to Look Away-- watch the video, too it surprises you halfway and it turns into something so exceptionally beautiful. Standout tracks from "Blue Film" are Look Away, When We're Fire and his cover of Grease's "You're The One That I Want." Trust me on the last one here, it's fucking brilliant. I can't wait to see him live, I'm even more excited to see him perform than Lorde.

I scanned the lyrics that came with the vinyl. I tried doing it as quickly as possible hence why some are blurry and stuff. Still readable though! Also, some of the lyrics are incomplete but at least we get a bit of clarification. I accidentally saved over the Don't Wanna Dance lyrics - sorry.

The album is utter perfection. I just can't describe how cohesive and coherent it is, both in terms of lyrics and sound. It's such a masterpiece. It's so perfectly crafted...
