  1. i'm just having a bit of trouble with this argument. like, how do you know it's something you don't want to read... without reading it? once you've read it, you've already wasted your time and energy with another trivial post. you can't un-read it, and there was certainly no way to prevent yourself from reading it because you had not read it yet to know it's trivial. the only solution then would be to stop viewing this thread at all, and potentially miss out on interesting conversations or the latest news. i'm not coming for you, just curious what the logic behind this is
  2. Rick Nowels for sure. His unreleased contributions and work on Honeymoon are absolutely phenomenal.
  3. When LFL premiered on BBC Radio 1 it became available on streaming services moments after the premiere.... we'll likely see the same happening today. There's no reason to believe that it would already be on NZ itunes before the premiere.
  4. I think she's gonna do a radio premiere on Beats 1 or on BBC Radio 1 like she did with LfL. Maybe 12:30pm LA time.
  5. Poor electra... All of Lana's songs have UV vibes when they are played live. It's not really indicative of the studio version.
  6. Well, people said the same about the Ultraviolence tracklist, so... don't be too sure

damn I can't stop replaying the snippet. it's so fucking good.
  8. LFL is the stage where she's prescribed antidepressants but the doctor is still testing & fine-tuning the dosage. it's all over the place but still contained in a rather shallow and lightweight scope. to me it also feels like a kind of epilogue to her previous albums. btd, uv & hm almost kind of exist in a fantasy world, but LFL sees lana being removed from this world and retrospectively reflecting on it from a dulled perspective.

    Lorde

Most of the album is a cheap impression of taylor's already cheap 1989. Liability is the only unique/standout track, and that song by itself is not a very impressive songwriting achievement.

    Lorde

just finished listening to the album. i'm really disappointed, perfect places & liability gave the impression that this will be a great album but it's quite lacklustre + anti-climactic. homemade dynamite had promise but it just sounds clunky and grating to my ears; the chorus is annoying as hell with how she pronounces "d-d-d-dynamite". the louvre similarly went downhill in the chorus with that utterly cringy "broadcast the boom boom boom boom". writer in the dark is nice overall but the vocal production is horrid and the instrumental is lacking a lot.

    Change

This must be one of her worst songs ever. No question about it.
  12. Whenever I hear random people (in real life) talking about Lana it's always about how "depressing" her songs are and how they want to commit suicide after listening. When Love came out, people were annoyed with it being on Spotify/AM playlists because it was such a downer. People just don't like her; she's a niche artist.
  13. Just realised that Daisy Chains really reminds me of Girl That Got Away

    Change

Hopefully the song changes up a bit. The snippet is the most underwhelming I've heard so far.
  15. why would she say they chose multiple songs for the record then? "we picked the best ones"

    Katy Perry

i don't think she's really going crazy, feels like it's just for show. she sounds very sober, self-aware and coherent throughout the album.

    Katy Perry

this album is so good, i don't know why it's receiving so much hate. maybe it's too dark for the katy fans. the production is beautiful and i'm living for the deep bass and loud drums. my trinity is roulette, bigger than me & hey hey hey.

    Katy Perry

hey hey hey & roulette are instant favs from first listen
  20. Yeah, I don't know how a song about the world ending due to a breakup would fit on Lust for Life. It seems to heavily contradict Lana's message of hope and an optimistic perspective towards the future.
  21. You still so convinced that the album was finished, hunni?
  22. Maybe not all the points were relevant to Eclipse in particular, but don't tell me what I said doesn't apply to this greedy hoarder subculture that has the gays putting on their best dollar-store wigs and impersonating people in the music industry, for one, to get their hands on an exclusive track, only to tease 5 low quality seconds of it on their Twitter next to a Paypal link to make quick dollar off their unethical loot.
