Change is gorgeous and has been hitting hard lately. Piano melody only, Rick served us stronger melodies than Jack, IMO. Drew has also strong piano Melodies (I didn’t mind Beautiful and Violets for Roses)

i am not against piano-only songs, but they need to have a very strong melody and to be very few on the album. With her last 3 albums that do contain some, I kinda want more or something else.

Fine China deserves to be officially released at some point, even if it’s just a standalone single. It’s Yes to Heaven I really don’t care for at this point.

My guess: she says she wants to keep it simple in the song and it means to her that it’s piano-only?!? agree that I want more orchestra!!

To me, it’s one of her many quirky lyrics that feel weird at first but only her can pull off and fit the song in the end, like the iPad line in Hope, the crustacean 🦞 thing on Quiet Waiter - Blue Forever, stranger than a stranger in Freak. It’s so her.

Is that the whole thing? That interview is underwhelming… I mean, it feels like friends talking together… and no info about the next album Edit: I just saw it was a small thing for Interview about the fashion show. It makes more sense now, in context.

I must say that I’m shookt if she expresses angry feelings, channels QFTC… but I’m intrigued. Never thought she’d go that route and I hope i didn’t make you feel « crazy » for thinking she would (hell you might be psychic ). I love BB, like COCC. When she does songs in one take, I usually like that she lets her guard down a little… not that I don’t love her more « polished songs », but there’s something magical about spontaneity being the best take, even if it’s imperfect.

I really dig those rich Italian mob mama vibes. And those curves are just out of this world sexy. She looks stunning.

well lustforlife said they were tentatively going for a September/October release… and DragonWhore said we’d hear something by July… one thing is for sure: if Jack’s part is not done, the album won’t be for some time: he is going on tour for a good part of summer.

I wished we had the title of the album with that interview… but kinda like that it won’t change either if she changes her mind.

I don’t know. It feels like she decided to put it out quickly so she can have the raw / angry feeling coming through?!?? (Sorry, i’m just too happy by it all at the moment)

Not gonna lie though: love the photos but both covers feel very amateur-ish, with the lettering. I first saw them on IG and thought they were fan-made

I think people should realize that Jack is not the sole producer of it and maybe some tracks will have him and Drew as producers. Same happened with California (Jack and Zack produced) and it was the best of both worlds… (sorry, I’m a shameless optimistic when it comes to Lana)

This album with Jack will probably be my « break it or make it » moment with him regarding his involvement in her career. So far, I love what they put out together and he gave me some of my favourite songs from her. NFR has its signature, Chemtrails also (even if some tracks remind us of others he produced for the girlies), and I hope LDR9 has a distinct sound as well. She can keep Jack on board as much as she wants if the sound is distinct, so maybe he could be one of many producers on her next projects…

With her, who knows? The last two albums were very reflexive on her career and her past; maybe she wants to jump into a more « regular » era? She has gain a bit of momentum this year, with TikTok, some tracks going viral and a growing number of listeners: maybe Interscope will want to beat the iron while it’s hot and release something a bit more upbeat? Speaking of Interscope, I don’t know where they stand with the whole « let’s release physical copies same week as release day », with the vinyl supply chain on its head, incapable to meet demand (BB would probably have been number 2 or 3 on release week if all the physical copies had been ready on time). Maybe she could release the album digitally first if there are enough bops on it? (It’s a reach, I know…)

Again, simply gorgeous
