I’m listening to it from cover to cover and here are my final thoughts: between good and very good album, that would have benefited a bit of editing. For example: Not My Responsibility; it’s an important message (simply put but straightforward) but too simply produced as a track, with the same beats on the next song that works better but with a weaker message. Like why not have combined the two? My future should have been scrapped for the title track : pretty much the same message but it works so much better on the title track (by the way, I dont know who is the fucker that hurt her, but she had a lot to say about him lol). Like I said before, Billie’s strongest suit is when she adds beats to her songs: she doesn’t have the vocal range to carry on very long songs with minimal production. I love when she added kitschy / vintage prod elements to songs (Hayley’s Comet, Didn’t Change my Number and Billie’s Bossa Nova), and even the title track channels early Avril Lavigne, and Oxytocin seems inspired by 2000 pop. Some texts reveal she is still young (not her fault, but Getting Older is not a song I will relate to lol). so, a good sophomore album, though not as phenomenal as some said it is (and no, it’s not a concept album lol).

Cant wait to see how many songs this album will have. I expect at least 14 since we’ll have heard four already. I’d go with 12 long ones.

What’s next: a Tex and Mex pic, to complete everyone mentioned in BB? ?

I pretty much heard the whole thing in full now and I come to the same conclusion with this album as her first: not a perfect album, but when she snaps, she snaps. I prefer when she goes upbeat or with snarky lyrics if it’s a ballad.

Geez, I’m cherry picking through the album, and why did she choose THOSE singles?!?! Lost Cause and NDA were good, but Billie Bossa Nova, Oxytocin and title track are all ?

It’s a cute track. I thought we’d hear her even less, so I feel like I’m winning.

We’ll, at least I really loved the Sylvia poem (though I never got why she promoted that one when it’s probably on the second book ) Would that be a worst cover than the selfie ?!?

It’s a promo single. not sure very track from the album will have its music video… Visual album can mean a lot of things, but maybe upon release?

Maybe the Paradise comparison is because there are more producers on this album than the last three?!?

He named it like that because it’s the general given name. He did say he didn’t know much about the song, except that it was expected to be released soon.

There is at least one thing that we can agree that won’t be like the Paradise era, and it’s the MV and Tropico movie

I see the “Paradise” comparison as “darker and more personal texts”, and not necessarily bigger production?!? Or there are a couple of surprises on BB and it ends being a very diverse album, maybe?

I see Dior as a “distributor” like Amazon when it comes to rumours: he talks to a lot of people claiming they are insiders, so posts don’t turn out always right if he talked to someone who was trolling or if plans changed. And with Lana, it must be very difficult since she changes ideas all the time and there are less and less reliable insiders now. Dior’s been right about pretty much of the Billie posts… so we’ll see. And hey, it’s better than no news at this point.

That insider was the most entertaining and fake of them all, but still, she was entertaining.

DISCLAIMER: I KNOW IT’S COMING FROM DIOR!!! AND I KNOW HIS REPUTATION HERE!!! BUT WE ARE STARVING!! but let’s put him to the test…. If he ends up being right, then good!! If he fails, well.. The single is supposed to be released within a month of the snippet posting, along with tracklist and release date. Apparently, Dealer is there.

Releasing in January has never been the industry’s strong suit because it’s the slowest month of the year in terms of sales as those albums tend to be forgotten very soon. It worked for BTD because it was a first album with a lot of successful or talked-about singles beforehand (and even then, it didn’t peak to number 1). Though it would be a beautiful homage to release BB near the 10-year anniversary of BTD, the album would get very much unnoticed I’m afraid. and on a personal note, I want the damn thing sooner than that :p

They’re pretty much the most reliable insiders but BoZ keeps quiet because she changes her mind all the time and Eclipse seems to be under the constant radar of Ben and Ed. We’ll know from them a couple of days prior to release the single is really coming I guess.

I’m pretty sure we’re getting something in August. The three singles have been out for two months now, she did post on July 4 to give us some sort of update; she knows we’re expecting BB in the next months. Plus she did say the snippet was a single, and not some random song she loves. The album is coming in the next months.

They’re never 100% right, like you said. And Lana really doesn’t seem to update anyone on her process lol, which makes it very hard for any “insider” to know anything. But since this account doesn’t say very much about Lana, I thought it might be a sign that she is done and the rollout for BB is finally beginning. Or it’s just speculation, but I’m getting a end of Sept or October release vibes for this album, so the tracklist and preorders are likely to begin soon, I guess. Absolutely nothing, sweetie. Except for the selfie posts and leakin_news on Twitter saying the tracklist and preorder are coming in August (we’re debating how “reliable” this could be).
