And it’s honestly a bit our fault, If we are disappointed that she includes leaked songs on official records; she remains the creator and as such, she has every right to include previous recorded songs. Too bad for us to have listened to them so many times.

Maybe a reworked version of Cherry Blossom could work, even though it’s not my fave from her. watch it be the closer.

Which is still pretty amazing. Worst case scenario: December (though Sept is much more plausible). It still would be 9 months since her last album, the shortest we ever had to wait. Plus there are surely a couple of surprises projects that could potentially be out before that. Plus the second poetry book at some point. We are fed.

Realistic Things to look forward to in the next weeks: - some probable album news / post in the next days; - whatever BoZ feels like sharing; - what is her involvement / singing on the new Bleachers track on the 30th (Jack said the chorus is really good); - a new single in July or August, maybe, if the album is nearly done? Yeah sometime before the end of the year (which is really not bad at all)

I honestly liked that video even though it wasn’t really clearing the air on anything, except the confirmation of the two singles and that a high-budget MV was coming. For this era, though, she has been so silent. An ugly tweet would be a dream, or another redo of the selfie cover with a new (bogus) date.

Now that I think about it… A LOT of her unreleased stuff is overrated and I get why she decided to forget about a lot of those songs.

I totally agree. I liked it better when she sang it on her Insta. I basically never listen to it now that it leaked…

Don’t throw stones at me… but Cola for the cOnTrOvErSiAl LyRiCs…. It’s a very good song, I still love it and its production despite all the controversy with Weinstein, but it’s too often the sole reference when people say she needs to “get back to those fiery lyrics she used to write” when I find some of her more recent work way more fiery and “in your face” (Goddamn man child you fucked me so good I almost said I love you / You can be a bad motherfucker that don’t make you a man).

I’m a bit scared too about this album, to be honest. For the first time. I mean, it was supposed to be called Rock Candy Sweet but the song got scrapped?!? How can we go from “this song represents the album” to “fuck it, it’s in the trash”? (I won’t say it’s another BAR situation since a couple of people sorta “debunked” the whole theory that it was LFL’s name at some point). And I have always been a bit afraid of the Nikki songs recorded, that they would end up on this album. When I heard the three singles and thought Mike had a major involvement on this, I thought maybe one song with Nikki could be on LDR8 and the rest would be on the next project. But now, I’m afraid it’s going to be the other way around. And the return of our “super insider” here yesterday, even though talking shit that almost never happens, did little to calm my fears. I guess we’ll have to see and find others muses for our lives if the LDR8 era isn’t good enough for us.

It really depends if there are physical copies attached to the release day. If it is the case, the more she changes the tracklist, the later we get this album, since all physical copies need to be released (and not just preordered, from what I understand) on the album’s release day, unlike LFL. With Chemtrails’s success on that regard, Interscope will probably push for vinyls and bundles and not just steamings on release day. And I guess it’s still the “90 day” rule that applies between submission and release, unless she is able to have plants make her vinyl faster than that.

Lol i think you might be the only one on Delulutrain right now. I admire your positivity though. i still expect some sorta post with very little (and confusing) confirmation around July 4, saying it’s coming at some point. I mean, Ben will eventually text her and remind her she should update us.

I think somewhere in July we could have a single or preorder maybe if she is near completion… but that’s a big maybe. and yeah, I am glad I have preordered Lorde’s new album to tide me over haha!

He drops in every now and then and drops bombs like that, not revealing anything new. Although I was afraid the album would be more country when BoZ said she scrapped a lot of the previous tracks.

I don’t even feel like I am entitled to anything from her because I am paying for her lifestyle. I am not at all against delays because it usually means a better album. And true, this is her art and she can whatever she wants with it. The only thing I can’t take anymore is her bullshit random dates that don’t check out. Like tease the project, but fuck the damn unchecked dates, especially if you are not done with the album. It honestly kinda screwed Chemtrails. She didn’t have to tease RCS and BB so close to Chemtrails’release. Nobody was expecting her to drop anything so close to it. And no, it’s not a good marketing strategy anymore, to keep us on our toes for some tidbit of info that have kept us in a never ending limbo bullshit cycle for more than two years now. To take the time to write down two Insta posts with release dates is not like randomly mentioning one during a livestream or when meeting a fan. Lana, just don’t anymore.

BoZ posted on ATRL the album wasn’t coming next week because she just added a new song. No Jack not Rick in sight on the album and Mike only has one song on it. And it’s the return of the neverending debate of being pissed/disappointed/ she doesn’t owe us anything.
