  1. I did not, but is the song with the long-ass acronym making any grammatical sense this time?
  2. Celine has had incredible music performances, that’s for sure (To Love You More is my fave from her ever). and to be fair, she should have been somewhere on that list. But I guess Rolling Stone didn’t think she fit the « originally / depth of catalog » or wherever other criteria.
  3. I really don’t like nasal voices true, she always had that nasally quality to her voice like you said, but it wasn’t as proéminent as it is now IMO. im from Canada and Celine is considered a national treasure and someone you should worship and kiss the ground beneath her feet and even though I used to love her, I really can’t stand her anymore.
  4. I can’t with Celine anymore She used to have an incredible voice, when she was on top and trained her voice like a professional athlete (circa 1995-98; not that it was « healthy »: it needed her to sacrifice a lot to keep up with « conquering the world »). But since the 2000s, she relies too much on a nasal performance that I can’t stand. anyways, back on topic… I see those lists as an intellectual exercise rather than one that will please everyone or one I will agree with. I’m glad Lana is there, though she doesn’t have the most « powerful » voice, I find her voice and lyrics much more touching than some « bigger » voices on that list (I sure would have ranked her higher). The top 10, I cant disagree with even if I rarely listen to a complete album by any of the divas on there. Nina Simone being there sure is a highlight to me.
  5. I’m on team #NewMusicInstead Sure, a great MV is nice and sets the tone for a new era, especially for the lead. She’s had some amazing MV, but since COCC, it’s gonna be difficult to top that. with this era, the visuals for the covers are so solid that I don’t need a MV, weirdly enough.
  6. I’m super curious about Candy Necklace, but I’m not sure how I feel if it was indeed the second single… I know we haven’t heard much from it yet, but I’d like the second single to shake it up a bit more…
  7. I dread February with every fiber of my being, much more than January TBH Remember Chemtrails era? something should happen in January for sure, but I expect it next week and not this one. Besides, is Lana back from Hawaii?
  8. We truly have different tastes . No disrespect at all, everyone is untitled to their opinion. But, to me, the title track is so rich, so grand, so touching… Crazy for You and California didn’t excite me very much when I heard their snippet and, well, I don’t enjoy them that much (they sound too demo-ish, and the lyrics are a bit meh. Dragon Slayer is already 10 times better to me). again, this is not disrespect to you at all, and I hope you will find something in the new album that you will love
  9. TUOB is my 5th most played song of 2022 despite being released a mere 3 weeks before the end of year
  10. I think you’re right: TUOB is probably a fan single and with the theft, it changed plans a bit (I don’t think this was meant to be the lead single, but the one coming with the preorder; by having a preorder in December, her team needed a cute song but not necessarily the one that would create a lot of buzz around the album… until things pick up again after Christmas)
  11. A rock song with Courtney Love could be good, if done with the right producer.
  12. The whole collab discussion is often fun but way unrealistic or ends up deceiving when it happens. when a collab is for her album, it needs to fully embrace the sound / spirit of it; she also needs to have some fun doing it, like the Jack- Taylor snow song (that she doesn’t even seems to love); and when she collabs with another artist, I don’t know why, but she often ends up painting herself in the corner of providing background vocals to the whole song, which is super deceiving. at least, BoZ kinda hinted that the numerous collabs for this album put her on the front, which we haven’t heard in a while.
  13. So, Neil posted his 2022 recap on his stories and he began shooting for Lana in March 2022… The picture was one of the ocean 🌊 is it anything other than the ocean waves pics found in the physical copies… or something else?!?
  14. I’ve been listening to the SYML track she sampled and I really like it: reminds me of the Amelie Poulain soundtrack
  15. Well, don’t underestimate LanaBoards for hating the « new Lana sound » seriously, all I want is bigger production and the title track is already giving me that
  16. Yeah I don’t remember the last time we got so much info after a lead single release… They really spilled a lot this time.
  17. For any artist other than Lana, I can wait until release for the tracklist. But for Lana’s albums, It’s fun, to imagine how some songs sound based on their title alone, before release. And to claim some songs (even though I’m almost always wrong about the songs I think I’ll love the most vs reality ). but more exciting to me is the song lengths And just knowing that many songs are over 5 min, that one is 7 min+, I already love this album
  18. This is the first album we don’t have the tracklist with the preorder and although this is the most exciting moment of any pre-release for me, I’m surprisingly fine without having it yet. I really loved when we learned about the tracklist of LFL through magazine interviews… (even though she scrapped Yosemite while it was her favourite and had talked tremendously about it ). I wouldn’t be mad if we learned some titles through a magazine interview again before the big reveal of the last titles.
