...what lana song is this?
-
i want lana del rey music that's it, that's all
-
steven saint is steven mertens according to lanapedia, justin parker is a songwriter/producer for paradise (2011), so i feel like it's most likely that one, instead of the 2015 one with axl rose husband lyrics

somewhat, there's a theme that looks similar to a night-mode, if you go to the bottom, click on theme, it will show different options, check out ocean blvd (b&w)

we need an album full of yosemites... it is one of her most gorgeous acoustic guitar songs and you all paid it DUST despite the fact that it was one of her most coveted songs of all time... yosemite, sweetie, i am so sorry!

honestly same energy as people blaming jack antonoff for lana's change in sound (which is hardly recent by now), wildflower wildfire is primarily a piano ballad and it was produced by mike dean of all people, that should prove that it doesn't matter who the producer is, if lana wants a particular sound, she will go for that sound, and although you may not like how jack antonoff's production sounds, lana's still choosing to work with him and obviously likes his sound, so... it all comes back to lana

also, just because a producer has a writing credit doesn't mean that they significantly contributed to the lyrics, they'll be credited for one word or the composition or structure of the music

i can't believe we're at a point where people are saying she would benefit from hiring a lyricist, she has written literally every song she has ever recorded, why should she dumb herself down? why should she give up creating art that is meaningful to her so that she can chart, which is something she doesn't even care about? her music has never been basic, mainstream corporate pop (she's really not a pop artist, i will forever stand by that) if you want upbeat, bombastic hits that were written by songwriters with the sole purpose of making money and going viral, go listen to ariana grande lmfao
-
i feel like lana would be so insulted by somebody saying she should have somebody write songs for her so that she could have a radio hit, i feel like you hardly understand lana's art or even lana as a person if you think she would do that, or should do that

hot take, but i hope ldr10 has music and singing

she just hasn't made a lot of folky music past that point! however, we also have mariner's apartment complex and venice bitch which i feel like could fit that description, and they are really nice, we could even consider songs like video games, bel air, guns and roses (yes, guns and roses!) and honeymoon, songs that are more mellow, into that category, they may not be folk, but they're more stripped-back, mellow/folky/stripped-back =/= bad, i mean, candy necklace is one of her best songs, it really is! also, dragonslayer, nectar of the gods, and earthquakes, which are primarily or just acoustic guitar, i mean, it really doesn't get any better than dragonslayer

you can't, it will last forever, millions of years from now, when all of our civilizations have been wiped out, all of the animals have gone extinct, and all of the plants have died, only two things will remain... your thread... and cockroaches
-
audio section is only for lana del rey-related audio and leaks, but you can post about it in the FKA twigs thread

just listened to loveless by my bloody valentine, before, i was only familiar with sometimes, what a gorgeous, mysterious collection of songs! i only didn't really like two songs, touched, which is just a 50-second instrumental piece anyway, and to here knows when, i need more time with that one, i'll have to listen to them more to figure out my favorites, but i'm motivated to keep exploring more of their work and more shoegaze in general
