It was kinda meh. The visuals were beautiful but it was quite clear they were just slapped over the top of Freak just so the footage could be released in full. 
 
Although I usually tend to prefer music videos with story/plot lines, I have come to accept that Lana doesn't always go down that route, and I've come to love her videos like West Coast, Shades of Cool, and so on, that are more focused on the visual aspect of things rather than the story. But with Freak, the visuals didn't even make sense at all. At least Music To Watch Boys To followed a theme of Lana reversing the male gaze and watching the boys instead. But Freak just doesn't have a meaning at all to me. It's a bunch of old footage with a new song slapped over the top, and 5 minutes of more old footage with a song that has absolutely nothing to do with the song Freak, or the video at all.

TBD's one of Lana's best songs ever. The way the chorus kicks in

Honeymoon is her worst album. Not sure if that's an unpopular opinion but I feel it needed to be said.
 
Paradise is thematically superior to Born to Die but the latter is a stronger body of work while I tend to prefer Paradise.
 
Ultraviolence is her best album but only if you include the glorious and to a certain extend superior bonus tracks.
 
Most of Lana's singles are among my least favourite songs from her, especially in recent days.

Five Grammy noms. One for Ship to Wreck, two for HBHBHB, and two for What Kind of Man. If she gets snubbed on all five, I will officially have no faith left in the Grammy awards.

Honeymoon should have been an EP. Something for in-between albums. This is actually funny, since it sounds pretty close to Paradise. And I am afraid to say, but I think we may end up being caught in the once very short Paradise era, forever.

Gahhh I love Halcyon so much that it looks like she's taking a step backwards, esp with On My Mind. I love the album cover though. Hopefully the full album doesn't disappoint.....

God Knows I Tried is boring as hell

My dad introduced me to her in 2012 around when BTD was released. I remember hearing Born to Die, Blue Jeans and Video Games and thinking wow... she has such a weird/deep voice? Then I forgot about her for a couple of weeks when I came back to her and listened to Born to Die. I thought her voice was SO weird, deep and different, and I didn't think I liked her, but I kept repeating Born to Die over and over, I was actually entranced by it. My Dad had bought the album so I put it on my phone and listened to her on and off and then when the Paradise trailer was released, which I watched so often before the EP was out, I knew I loved her music.
 
Paradise also used to be my favourite work by her until Honeymoon came out, which I then realised Ultraviolence is my favourite (not sure how that works).
 
her BTD look/era will always be my favourite though.

It became trendy to hate on Halsey as of late, I guess the early Lana similarities made people see her in a bad light. I notice that most people are just eager to criticize her, even though she didn't do anything really bad yet. But oh well, at least she is talked about, and that is good. Controversy can help to get your name out there and she needs that, she is still a newcomer.
