Yep. I think sometimes it’s easy for ppl to forget that music is not an objective art. If it were, we would all have appreciation for the exact same songs and genres, whether they were our personal favourites or not. But that’s not the case. The criteria that defines good music is very subjective. Something that sounds beautiful to one may sound horrendous to another. Certain lyrics may be deep and life changing for someone, but be basic to someone else. Lists like these that rank songs in terms of best to worst etc, while very amusing, don’t actually mean anything.

Omg yesss! Lana definitely nails the over the top type of songs so well, and I also really appreciate NFR too but yeah I get what you mean. I don't really feel she has interest either anymore in those upbeat styles of music but maybe RCS will be surprising

For most of my life my genre of preference has been alternative pop-rock with some random things mixed in there too of course haha BUT I somehow completely fell in love with songs like Summer Bummer from her - one of the genres I just absolutely adore with a voice like Lana's and her lyrics. Makes me feel like such a baddieeee. I'd love anything "loud" from her again whether it's rock, hip hop, psychedelic, trap - just hit me with it. Of course, not everyone will be super happy with whatever she comes out with next. But... since the last two albums were rather minimal, folky and ballad based, I think it's about time for things to get lit again, no?

100% this! No more of that minimalism in a row, please. I hope to hear some powerful production again, a sonically bold slapppp for the next album.

I just told my mom (we don't get to catch up much cause always working ugh) that Lana got engaged, and she said, "Aww, good! Finally. She deserves to be happy." Ugh that made me feel so good I also can't believe I've talked so much about Lana to her to where she knows enough about Lanz struggles LOL
