I’m sorry but how am I the fan in question when I said I don’t care about Liz being on the album? If I cared less I would be dead. Genuinely. I did not make any connection between the “conflict” and transness I simply showed you examples of how two issues can be seen as “different political beliefs”. A lot of people think misgendering trans people, banning them from sports, bathrooms, etc… is simply a matter of different political beliefs, the same way you think be in favor of a genocide is a matter of political belief. Does it mean we should platform every transphobic person because it’s just a political belief and we can get along regardless of their political beliefs? “Liz makes bops get over it” I don’t think about her one second of the day and I don’t seem to be alone considering she hasn’t managed to crack 300k Spotify listeners in over a decade of “singing”. Sophie was probably into charity!

I don’t care about LIZ being on the album at all but openly supporting genocide is very different than just having a political belief. Also SOPHIE was a trans woman whose existence has all to do with politics right now including her own music which was about being trans. Would you say someone calling SOPHIE a man is just a different political belief?

BB is already a compilation so I don't see how that wouldn't have worked.. it's not like there's a theme or the album is sonically consistent maybe scab & plaster wouldn't have fitted as neatly but it's a banger regardless so IDK... she could've found a place for it. i think it was left out because thematically it was too strong of an outlier

IMO vinyl color variants aren't bad but the fact that people turn them into collectibles and thus wanna get every single on of them and drive up the price is. like if people were just chill about it it'd be cool

OOTB and TD were released back when people still hated pop music which is why the scores are low. Same goes for BTD. now we’ve gone the opposite way and critics are way too generous to pop music. Sabrina carpenter getting an 8 for that album is insane

the only thing dont understand is the title... did sophie self title it herself? or was it self titled because they knew it was gonna be the last project of sophie they were gonna release. and if that is the case, i wonder what the original title was

UTP is a great album but the middle portion of it is a MESS... from past the mission to the waiter it gets way to repetitive and dull IMO (considering how versatile and varied the rest is I mean). you should also check out the other tracks she wrote for the album like: here. in my head (which was released as a b side for little earthquakes) sister janet honey (which should've gone on the album)

I don’t think she would ever release something like that unless it were on a vinyl. But even then idk I remember her celebrating the 5th anniversary on her website with a new merch drop (which I bought even though it was atrocious and didn’t really have anything to do with the album…) so I can imagine she would do something for it? At the end of the day it’s what cemented her as a critical darling and actual artist, it has to mean something!! IMO
