Moments/memories of your life involving Lana's music
four leaf clover replied to Beautiful Loser's topic in Lana Thoughts
i guess the best memory 2 share would be when i discovered lana... it was september 2013 and i was on a roadtrip with my mom to omaha nebraska and i was listening to marina and the diamonds radio on pandora and off to the races came on and 12 year old me was like, what the fuck, i am captivated. i fell in love with lana right there and started listening to born to die and paradise and then like a week after uv came out i was on the way to mcdonalds with my mom (i still lived with her) and i was so in love with old money i thought it was a masterpiece so i played it in her car on the way. she was like... idc about it but i was trying not to cry the whole time and then i found lanaboards during honeymoon prerelease but i chose to lurk for like 2 years before making an account uh, yeah... besides sex acts with my bf while listening to venice bitch which i dont really feel like mentioning cause im breaking up with him soon, those are my prominent lana memories -
its been 3 years since art angels now... can... can we please have something... i miss her

sex-driven people by robert e.l. masters. basically masters reads off confessions sent to him from people with "abnormal sexual desires" (pedophilia, bestiality, and transsexualism, but the stores vary from hardly strange at all to very strange) then masters briefly explains from a scientific point of view what he believes causes their desires. cant say i "learned" much from this book, cause it blurs the lines between scientific & professional and exploiting & sensationalized, but if youre curious about the lengths human beings will go to in order to satisfy odd desires this book is extremely interesting

part of me wants her to release everything on the night of new years eve so it would be like starting a brand new fresh year to her music -
sometimes i forget fucked my way up to the top exists which is weird considering uv is my favorite album of hers... honestly if it didnt have something like fuck in the title that made it easy to memorize, i would probably forget about it altogether not sure if this is an unpopular opinion cause i never really see strong praise or hate for it, just like, neutral "its a decent song" reception

not saying names but if lana were to collab with one of those "alternative electronic pop girls" whose entire careers are based around the late 90s/early 00s revival trend of the 2010s... that would age, like, horrendously by the time that trends dead in a few years that type of music is gonna sound so corny and dated. dont want my poor lana to have to go through that especially when i know she can create wonderful, timeless-sounding music -
venice bitch, such a lovely atmosphere that song has lana songs to have a long, peaceful crying session to?

honestly, im happy with 99% of everything lanas ever made, but i really want at least one song from her where her voice isnt all filtered and airy and muffled. like why is she so afraid of her natural voice it sounds wonderful without the reverb all the time -
aka yayo vs mariners apartment complex

either this is pretty difficult or im just really stupid high by the beach / 13 beaches? (i cant tell if the pics represent the whole song or just one single line from the song)

just curious - when do we think we will get an album cover or tracklist? and i know a few people suggested the album will be released spring of next year but knowing her and release dates i feel like its more summer/fall shes already named a good handful of the tracks so i feel like we deserve should get the full tracklist soon -
bollywood hawaii / maha maha. that song creates some aura ive never heard in any other song by her

yes exactly. i mean grimes has always had a "weird girl" shtick but early in her career it worked because no one was really making music like hers. and how she used to be a vocal anti-imperialist and against big corporations, then switched to dating elon musk of all people i want to get inside her brain to understand how someone can change that drastically. idk maybe musk has some technology not yet revealed to the american public and shes actually just being brainwashed lol. but ive listened to her long enough that if she were to release music again id probably still listen i hate to be the fan thats like "ugh they sold out so bad!" cause theyve always been a band that followed trends, even afysco capitalized on the 2000s emo trend. but yeah, around 2011/2012 i couldnt care for patd anymore. their music went from like weird emo cabaret (which, to this day, i still find more enjoyable) to like pop punk "alternative" radio music which most of the artists in that genre i cant stand

marina - lost interest around froot release, still listen to electra heart and before though. i probably should listen to froot azealia - loved her in 2014/2015 but... well obviously panic at the disco - my fave band in like middle school. but i strongly dislike everything theyve made after vices and virtues. afycso still goes miley - loved her during bangerz where she was constantly on the radio, i have some sentimental connection 2 her songs. but idc about anything else shes made grimes may or may not be on the list in the near future... ive stanned her since 2013 and i love her music so much but it seems like the grimes i stanned then is not the same grimes now
