Is it just me or does there seem to be a real change in Lana? I feel like lana has just got so true to herself and more outgoing. Honeymoon she said was not as autobiographical, but it still seemed so raw and personal. And now she' working on new stuff coming from her "clarity of inner dialogue". She recently did so many great appearances, she cleared up whatever she had with Gaga and now she's super excited to be touring. I don't know she just seems so content and healthy and ugh she just keeps getting more beautiful. I'm seriously so happy that she's happy

If I'm being honest, I don't think Jon from ARTV disliked HM that much. He gave UV a 3.5 and HM a 1.5. Yeah, the albums are different but they're not so different that he hates one waaaay more than the other. Pretty sure he jumped on the hate bandwagon when he saw how much his buddy Anthony Fantano (the Internet's busiest music nerd) hated UV. And he gave BADLANDS and Cry Baby higher scores than HM.
 
Just listened to DLMBM on Spotify and I really don't get the hate. Like, at all. It's a beautiful way to end the album and I love the minimal production

tbh. his UV review was more a review of the tumblr fanbase than the album

the TRUTH. I absolutely loathe his reviews, they are so biassed. He doesn't understand any artist's  (except FKA twigs') creativity and image at all.

thanks guys! It means the world to me you're enjoying this mix as much as I did while making it. I know there's no huge changes and shit, but it sound cool if you play it loud. I wanted to keep the essence of the original song because Lana is always perfect on her tracks. I sampled some elements of BTD album and arrange with the Symphonic version that's on YouTube.

When can we expect the first album reviews out?
Don't some magazines/websites receive albums early to post reviews before an album is released to build up hype?
I certainlyl remember reading reviews for albums by artists prior to release before, at least I think I have...

I had a feeling that Lana would find a way to amalgamate the styles of all her previous eras into the songs of this album, and I really think she has so far.
 
Honeymoon = sounds most similar to Paradise, especially songs like Bel Air and Yayo, which are lighter (+ it has that tropical Paradise vibe)
High By The Beach = sounds a lot like a Born to Die track, with that hip-hop inspired beat and its catchy melodies
Terrence Loves You = definitely sounds like something she would have released on Ultraviolence, it has that trademark vocal reverb with a "jazzy" influence and guitars
 
Even though this album has a very refreshing, unique sound, it is quite clear that each song does have its similarities with her past eras. Personally, I'm hoping there are more tracks on Honeymoon that sound most similar to the songs of Ultraviolence.

I like how the video mirrors, very well, what james says about the video "being about her and not being about her". It could be about a generic person just wanting to escape or more specifically about lana dealing with the paparazzi

Also it pretty much confirms that there must be another video with those guys.
