FMJ is so overated imo, boring basic chord progression, lyrically he's like the "indie" version of Drake aka soft-funny-mysoginism, inconsistent arrangements & such obvious yet uninteresting repartee on songs like "the ideal husband". But he's got a good voice, charisma, ideas even though he can't translate them into full realization ; and he's a very very good performer. He's actually quite similar to 2015 Lana Del Rey in some ways, so match made in heaven tbh
    And he's kinda hot

I've heard Halsey will also be featured and the remix is going to be named Americana Freak.

I had to check if this was actually a quote from the BIBLE! Thank you, Honeymoon lover!

Honeymoon is a religious experience with those gapless outros/intros. Most noticeable on "Freak" / "Art Deco", "God Knows I Tried", the closer we've gotten to a cover of Nancy Sinatra's Bang Bang rendition, also merges its cricket sounds with "High by the Beach"'s helicopter intro, same with the latter and Freak. "Religion" and "Salvatore" are meant to be played together, when Religion's drum - reminiscent of Playing Dangerous, in my opinion - slowly stops in order to let us enjoy Honeymoon's best track (just behind Burnt Norton, Lana's overall best song ), Salvatore. The flow between violin-driven "Honeymoon" and long-awaited "Music to Watch Boys to", and "Burnt Norton" as a transition between the two halves of the album are also worth mentioning. And don't forget the last four songs. "The Blackest Day" serves as the longest track on the album at 6 minutes, but its length almost go unnoticed because Del Rey fixed the error she had with her previous +6 minutes track, Cruel World, which was a bit repetitive. Now she wrote a track with various sections that doesn't drag itself longer than desired. Cinematic "24" marks the return of her big productions, with an unexpected outro that could easily be an album highlight. "Swan Song" brings us classic Lana Del Rey, with a death-allusive title and orchestral production, strategically placed as penultimate track even though its title and themes suit as an ending type of track. Lana has mentioned multiple times she likes to close her albums with a jazz cover, this time Nina Simone's "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" being the chosen song. While the Honeymoon story ends at Swan Song, Del Rey's rendition is like the album's credits. It work as the songs that appear at the end of a movie.

Also, the Honeymoon era brought us LanaBoards history:

Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood.

    So

My family and I just went on vacation. My grandma is a big fan of Lana. We always listen to Lana together on the plane. She heard Honeymoon in its entirety for the first time. She LOVED it. Her fave was Religion (I hope she didn't understand what Lana was saying) and she also loves God Knows I Tried. Her other favorites include Honeymoon and Salvatore. So clearly this album was a hit.

She also had me skip Florida Kilos to go back to songs from Honeymoon.

If you vote me, A-lister Christina Lucci will perform her soon-to-be smash hit "Burnt Norton" at the Lipsters Awards 2015.

I do know it's a Lana fanbase forum, but regardless of that, I envision Bjork as the winner. Sure, Honeymoon was good, but Vulnicura was unprecedented last year.

Hmmm, I would love her to do a Björk song, but idk if Bachelorette is her speed. From Homogenic, I think she'd do Unravel or Joga justice. I was just listening to Biophilia and thought she could do a beautiful cover of Virus, one of my favs from that album.

I was president of my 8th grade class & got the school to serve vegetarian & vegan lunches, protested every day until same sex couples were allowed to go to dances together & got the soda machines reinstated. I was a great president then & would be a great president now.

To indo pra Curitiba, SP, Rio e Recife essas ferias

its definitely meant to be degrading towards women primarily - which is why men are now using it towards each other to make a statement about how 'weak' (feminine) they're acting.

Also, I don't really care if Lana isn't a hugely popular star or if she ever returns to her BTD pop sound. I've liked basically every song she's ever made and I'll probably go on still liking everything she does. Not every singer needs to be a pop star and make huge numbers, some thrive well with a smaller dedicated fanbase. It doesn't really seem like Lana wants to be a pop star anymore anyway, what with never doing promo anymore and all.

God, this board kills me. No wonder people hate Lana stans.

"I want upbeat music! Too depressing". Go stan for Katy Perry.

I don't understand. Songs like Honeymoon, MTWBT, Art Deco, Religion and Freak make you sad?  None of those songs are sad, not even a little.

My favourite thing about being a Lana fan is that she's just fucking effortlessly cool.

She doesn't need to make a spectacle of herself on awards shows and talk shows to maintain her career and the media's interest in her.
She doesn't have a godawful cheap-ass perfume, line of clothes, shoes or accessories to extend her 'brand' (ugh).
No terrible, ill-fitting, cringey collaborations with lesser 'singers' to boost her exposure.
She doesn't smize desperately from every magazine cover and saturate the media with her presence, until everyone's sick of her and willing her to fail.
She's just cool. And seems like a genuinely nice person. And she maintains integrity in the work she does.

OT, Honeymoon is perfect. I'm so pleased she has made no attempt to take a more accessible, radio- or chart-friendly approach.

    I love being a fan.
