Somehow, the thought of Lana on Ellen makes me laugh in an uneasy way, I can't picture them together

I think it's an abordable song for radio. Don't think it Will do much though.. Brooklyn Baby I feel has this immediate likeable quality, it's summery and I think it would be a wise choice. Same with Old Money, since it sounds like a Traditional ballad but with Lana's touch..

Nice read ! I liked reading about her feelings towards doing shows, the fact she wants to keep on singing (!!! thank god !! Although I feel she ALWAYS will, I was so scared she would abandon the music business and keep it to herself. Anyway ..) Weird that she says she'a pessimistic person, when she often says she's not... Her mood really changes .. Interesting to read about those directors, as well ...

I'm sorry but I'm kinda happy about that if it's true... I know I'm a nobody in regards to Lana so my opinion doesn't matter. But from what I've read/seen/heard, he seems too dark and depressed for Lana, I mean I wish him ALL the best but his mood seems to have affected Lana's :/

Interesting, I always wondered how Lana thought about God, cause sometimes she uses sentences that led me to think that she didn't really believe in him like "I am my own God", "God's dead I say that's all right with me" (although she didn't write it per se, she did choose it) ... So reading about her relationship with God was an interesting add...

I had the same thought about Sleeping Beauty ! She even used a bit of that scene for a home made video, can't remember which one .. I like the video, but not really before 2:00 approximatively ... Some shots are nice, but I don't really like the over use of two scenes being put one on top of the other, although sometimes it gives a nice effect, like when she is surrounded by birds. But the whole video is worth it, for the pool scene alone ! I mean ... She's splendid in it ! About him crossing himself, yeah I thought about the fact that he was thinking 'Forgive me Father for I am a sinner and I'm about to succumb to sin" but the idea that he is seing her while she really isn't there makes sense.

Born to die : its video was just released, I watched it, the song didn't do much but the visuals had struck me so after a few Days, i watched it again, then a 3rd time and I fell in love with the song, then I watched/listened to Blue Jeans (home made video) and BAM I was hooked !

The dancing with the black hair reminds me so much of Early Lana with her black wig on ! The poooool scene, look at her, LOOK her eyes .. Aaaah she's just gorgeous !!!

I think "I could have died..." Is more to be interpreted like this Summertime Sadness bit "got my bad baby by my heavenly side, I know if I go, I'll die happy tonight", meaning, she's fully satisfied, as long as she's with her man.

I was thrilled when I heard the chorus in the snippet video but the verses are weaker ... So I expected a bit more. But it's nice ! It will grow on me, I'm sure, plus there are some interesting bits in the lyrics, the part about the book, for instance.

And I read in the comments section that Kurt Cobain had a similar "on stage disease" and that she was so predictable... I think for those who are disapointed with the studio version : Maybe it's because we tend to generally prefer the first version of a song we hear (It's like that with me, anyway) In my case, I didn't listen to the Live performance and I'm really digging it. For me it could have been the lead single... Agree on some parts of the lyrics though. This chorus makes me want to spin slowly and melancholically ...
